My 7 month old baby is eating baby food but she really wont eat alot?
ok so my daughter is about to be 7 months & she has never eaten a whole 6oz at a time..the most has been 5 oz which isnt a big deal she just likes to snack. but i started her on cereals & baby food at 4 months & i started with vegetables but she wont eat them anymore all she wants is fruit so is that bad? i still give her cereal, its not her favorite but she refuses veggies but she gets 10 cans from wic but shes been running out a week before we get more but still she dsnt eat that much. which surprises me bc she was a 8lb baby at birth & she weighs 19lbs so shes gaining weight just fine. but i want her to eat more baby food so she wont run out of milk so fast..she does like baby food but shes so curious bout everything around her..its hard to keep her attention on it..thanks for everyone who will help answer my questionoh i know that the milk is still the main part of her nutrition she only take a jar a day or sometimes 2.. i didnt mean it like i was trying to get her from drinking milk..excuse me..i didnt mean it like im going to force food down my childs throat..all i meant was im trying to get her to eat more baby food.& she drinks plenty of milk i do not take it away from her & when she dosent want her baby food i stop feeding it to her..i know that her milk is the main part of her nutrition i do have commen sense im so sorry that i worded that so badly that ppl on her would go crazy..i mean come on get a life. it was a simple question. & i rly wanted to know what to do about her not eating vegetables..would that be a problem? bc shes only eating fruits so ppl stop snapping. im a great mom with question bc shes my 1st child. so if ur gna come on here writing like ur the yahoo queen then dont bother bc there other ppl out there who wld help & answer the question. thank you for those who do.haha breastfeeding was my 1st option..i tried very hard to breast feed..she wldnt latch on so i tried pumping but the milk never cam through on oneside..was dissappointed about that

Why is my 8 month old gagging on baby food now (repost from yesterday)?
I am reposting from yesterday I only got one answer although it was a good one , I just wanted to get some more opinions I can barely get Rylee to eat baby food anymore. I know it isn't that appetizing . She used to eat the veggies, but even now, she is gagging on them. Yes, I know she is 8 months old and can eat table food. She does when we are having something that is good enough for her to eat. A lot of times I am sorry to say that we do not eat healthy enough for her. So, I either give her some peas, green beans, toast, cheerios, cheese as finger foods. Other times especially during the day when she is being babysat , she eats baby food. She eats the fruits just fine, but gags on the veggies and the mixed foods. I tried the 3rd stage foods last night becuase she can chew just about anything, and she wouldn't chew it. She would just swallow it whole and then gag. I don't always have fresh or frozen veggies in the house for her to eat when she won't eat baby food. Why is she all of a sudden gagging on purees and why won't she chew the 3rd stage baby food? Any ideas?
Infant spitting up almost 2 oz every feeding except when i give her baby food first?
Okay...long story short. I had my baby oct 23 4lb 13 oz 18 in long. December 28th she got her 2 month shots. ever since then she has been spitting up a lot. We took her back to the doctor jan 4th because of it the doctor told us to burp her more, feed her less,keep her upright after eating, all that good stuff. We did all of that and the vomiting continued. I called the doctor the next day and they switched her to Similac Sensitive RS. It worked okay for a little while but about 2 weeks ago she started spitting up a lot again. Well today i decided to measure it...2 oz. So basically out of a 5oz bottle shes only getting 3. Last night i decided to try to give her baby food then her bottle and she didn't spit up even a little bit. Do you think it's okay for me to give her baby food atleast once a day so i know shes getting a whole feeding? I'm calling the doctor again monday but just wanted a little advice from the mommy's out there.

I bought some and feed my baby for a week. Now i read about its unsafe to microwave them because of BPA or something like that. I'll buy glass jars next time though, just wonder if they were dangerous, so why Gerber still sell them
How and when do you transition from formula to just baby food?
I have a 7 month old son who just started eating first stage baby food sweet potatoes and green beans and he LOVES it. He is still taking the same amount of formula that he was prior to starting solids because I'm only giving the solids to him once to twice a day and he only gets half the container. Is that enough too much just right for a beginner? When and how should start giving him more solids and less formula? Thank you
How much baby food should I be giving my 5 month old?
My baby is 5 months old and I am already giving him cereal and introducing him to different kinds of baby foods per week. I was wondering how much baby food in the jar should a 5 month old be eating per day? I don't want to over feed him so I like to know what is consder a good portion amount for a 5 month old??? The stage after stage 2 baby food?
Of course when I first became a mother I had the dreams of making all my own baby food, well when it came down to it I just didn't have the time so I gave in and bought jarred. Of course I have given the occasional mushed banana but atleast up until now its all been factory made jarred food. My question is for the people who did or maybe even didnt use jarred food once your baby made it to the stage 2 and you introduced meats and started finger foods did you move on to stage 3 foods or did you start throwing your regular meals in a blender or making special stuff for baby?? What is considered safe and okay to introduce at this point?? If I want to spend time on the weekends making on freezing baby food where do I start?? Suggestions would be great help Thank you so much
How do you make your baby food with salmon?
I couldn't find the recipe . Should I boil or grill it? And just puree it with water formula??? Or can I boil salmon and put rice to make salmon porridge? How do did you make it?Thanks,
Baby throwing up after eating small amounts of dairy in age appropriate baby food?
My daughter is 8 months old. The other day I gave her Earth's Best apple yogurt oatmeal that is for 6 months and up. I noticed she spit up few times after eating it, but didn't think much of it. Another time, she had vegetable stew, and would only eat half of the jar, which is very unusual, as she always devours her food. I checked the label, and it said it had cream in it. She spit up few times again. Also, the food was was 6 months and up. Now, I noticed that she spits up after eating Gerber's yogurt melts... They are all supposed to be easy to digest for babies under one year, so I'm growing a bit concern. I know, that she might just not be tolerating it well, but I'm worried, because I have severe lactose intolerance. I don't think it's genetic, so I don't really know what to think... Anyone had a baby react like this to those products? Are they allergic, or is it something they just grow out of?Thanks
