Hi. im curious, what is your schedule for your toddlers meals/snacks?

Question: Hi. im curious, what is your schedule for your toddlers meals/snacks?

(Posted by: onelove1075 on 2010-02-26 08:24:53)

My dd is 17 months old. im not looking for what they eat more like WHEN they eat. dd wakes between 8- 9am, eats breakfast around 9- 930. she goes to bed around 10- 11. i know, i know its very late but its literally a difference of going to bed at a "decent " hour and waking up all night or going late and sleeping straight thru til usually 9am. she naps from about 1- 3 or 2- 4. depending on the day sometimes its a little bit later. when or how far apart do you guys do meals/ snacks. sometimes i feel like shes eating every 2 hours. breakfast say 9 small snack 1130 lunch 1ish snack around 4ish dinner 7. she eats balanced meals/ snacks so im not really worried about what she eats im just curious how often you guys feed them. thanks so much....

I feel like i feed my son all the time too--he's 24 months. He usually wakes up around 8:30 and has breakfast...I give him a snack around 10:30. Lunch at 12:30ish... Snack around 2:00. Then naptime if im lucky lol He'll ususally wake up from his nap at 5:00 and he gets a snack. Dinner around 6:30-7:00. And usually 2 snacks before bedtime which is around 11:00 for us too!! Now that im looking at it, maybe i do feed him alot! lol But he's tall and skinny so I guess its not too much. The only way I can tell when he doesn't want anything is when he tells me no..But if i give it to him and he eats it, then i figure he's hungry! Plus the snacks I give him are small--crackers, fruit snacks, goldfish, grapes, etc.. I'm sure the schedule you have for your little girl is fine too...As long as she seems healthy, you're doing a good job!

My son is also 17 months, he wakes around 8am, has something to eat around 8:15, then again around 10am, he'll have lunch at 12pm, have some snacks between 12 and 5, have supper at 5- 5:30 and have a few more snacks before bed (10pm), his snacks are usually grapes, cheese, yogurt, toddler puffs, crackers etc.

My son is 3.5. Mon - fri he attends Montessori school 9-noon. So he eats breakfast about 8:15/ 30 then at about 9:45 they eat snack at school. He eats lunch when he gets home about 12:30. Another snack sometime before dinner (no set time). Dinner is served 6 or 6:30. Bedtime 8pm, I'm very strict with his bedtime so he can get up in time to eat breakfast and for school.

As long as she isnt eating candy, ice cream, etc the times frequency doesnt matter. My son wakes up at 7 and has breakfast at 7:30 then a snack at 10 or 1030 then lunch at around 12:30 or 2.. then a snack at about 4 and dinner at 7.. now inbetween he likes fruits cheeses, crackers etc. I just make sure he eats small portions of everything since he likes to eat and is has alot of activities to do

My 15 month old daughter wakes up around 6:30 am or so and eats breakfast during the week around 7:00 am. She has a snack at 9:30 am, lunch around 11:30 and then snack again at 3:00 at daycare, and then eats dinner around 5:30 - 6:00 at home. I usually tend to stick to the same schedule on the weekends too. She is in bed by 7:30 pm. Her snacks usually consist of cheese/ crackers, fruit, Arrowroot cookies, etc. and then she eats 3 big meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She usually naps from about 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
