Ideas for toddler meals needed.?

Question: Ideas for toddler meals needed.?

What kinds of healthy, wholesome meals and foods do you feed your little 1 1/ 2 year olds? It's got to be healthy, yet quick and easy to make, preferably easy to chew. Oh, and you don't need to worry about any food allergies in your suggestion. Thank you! In response to some of the criticism, I actually do take a lot of time for my child's meals, that's why I asked for easy meals. :- ) She can't always eat regular meals although I try to, because she doesn't have that many teeth yet, so it needs to be easy to chew. :- ) Thanks.

Breakfast: whole grain pancakes(frozen kind) or waffles with banana and milk... cheerios with a cup of milk, nutrigrain bar, lunch: deli ham cut up in small pieces, with cheese and grapes and a cup of milk.. grilled cheese and soup, peanut butter sandwich with fruit and yogurt, just be creative, at this age its about finding things she likes and will eat and about exploring different textures and tastes. for dinner just feed her whatever you eat, cut up small enough for her to chew. for a snack she could have: rice cakes, cheezits, string cheese, cereal in a baggie, the gerber puffs are still good at this age and count as a fruit or veggie serving depending on what kind you get.

If you can't take a little more time in preparing your child's meal, then maybe you need to sit back and figuare out your priorities

Why does your toddler have to have a specific meal? Why cant he/ she eat what the rest of the family is having for dinner? Get a crock pot, they are a life saver when you've not got the time to cook and pretty much anything you can make in one is kid friendly. Lunch, on the other hand, I make specifically for my girl, because Im not usually a sit down lunch type. She typically has a sandwich, a veggie, something else (cheese, crackers, whatever....) and fresh fruit for desert. You could make up some chicken, tuna, or egg salad and use it throughout the week. Use whole grain bread You could make a grilled cheese. Pita bread and hummus take place of our sandwiches some days. Im a fan of the Birdseye Steamfresh Singles (peas, carrots, rice, broccoli, etc), you just pop in the microwave. And you can always keep some fruit on hand, bananas, grapes, oranges...apples, whatever. Del Monte sells the single servings of fruit (you can get the "no sugar added ") in pears, mandarin oranges and peaches. Not sure if Im even answering your question, so Ill stop. If you meant dinner, really just give your kid what you eat, given that you eat healthy too. If not, it will give you a reason to :)

My daughter is 16 months. She really likes baked potatoes. I just cook it and take the skin off and cut it into big chunks. Then I use the butter spray and just put a little on and some pepper. That's her favorite and she can feed herself in the high chair. She also eats peanut butter and jelly. We mostly feed her finger foods she can feed herself. She has a hard time with some of the things we eat, even though it is healthy. She also likes chicken. We just cut it up real small so she doesn't choke. Gerber graduates have veggies in a jar. They are soft so she eats those too. And peaches. She also likes string cheese. She does have most of her teeth, though. Sorry I keep thinking of things as I am typing. (The spell check says I have 140 misspellings. Must be on a coffee break. LOL)

This may not be the healthiest option.. but my 18 month old LOVES spaghetti-o's! They are really easy. And soup... I've made big pots of veggie soup and chicken noodle for me and my fiancee.. and my son eats more of it than we do! And you can't go wrong with soup, especially with it getting chilly outside.
