Does anyone have any suggestions on what new things i could try him with? (baby recipes, foods your baby loves, stuff like that) He's 10 months on the 8th may He still has formula every now and again, but no more than three bottles a day (his choice). He prefers his food better and has three to four meals a day. i do give him quite a lot of the foods we eat but my partners mam thinks that some of the things i want to give him, he is too young to have. He loves our pasta, but hates the baby pasta

Try Annabel Karmel's books and her website; annabelkarmel.com. She has loads of great ideas for recipes for every kind of child, picky eaters included! Breakfast is always a big thing in our house, and my son would love sucking on toast soldiers, and eggy bread cut into soldiers. Homemade chips still goes down well with my son now. You could try making your own yoghurts with pureed fruits and a little plain yoghurt. Or have a look at the ingredients in the jarred baby food and make that yourself. There's loads of kids recipe books, i'm sure you could pick one up for a few quid. I had a great one for babies & toddlers with a meal planner and all sorts. Just have a look around. There's loads of ideas if you google baby food too.

My mum used to make pork with apples and apricots for my son.. depending on how old the baby is he should be able to eat it..my son loved it, it gave him a chance to experience flavours.. Just cook the pork first in a little butter, very little because of the salt and then add the veg and cook it kind of like a stew.. (adding a little water) ill bet he loves it.. and also when you are eating as long as your food isnt too hot or spicy, let him try everything if he wants to.. itll help to make him less of a fussy eater as he grows up.x

Try smoothies. take fruit, milk and a little sugar and blend it together. Also, make food how you would make it to eat, then mash it up and feed it to him. As for meat, take ground beef and cook it normally just make sure its very ground up and feed it to him.

When I was a baby (I'm 64) my Mum gave me the same food that the adults ate cut into small pieces for easy digestion. There were no fancy jars and packets of baby foods like the ones these days. My brother and I thrived and didn't suffer from all the ailments many children have today. Why don't you try good wholesome food blended for ease of feeding

My son loved sweet potato mash or pasta. You can buy baby pasta in Boots. It is brilliant for adding to meals to get them used to lumpy food.

I never used jars of baby food,i always did my own, stuff like weetabix, mashed banana ,yogurt, blended dinners which might have fish or chicken in, often added baby milk to thin it out

Hi there, when my two kids got to 10 months old they were pretty much eating what we were eating, just chopped up small. Even my daughter, who only had one tooth at the age of 12 months was able to eat a lamb chop by herself (not cut up). Tthere are some things you must not give a baby under 12 months, ie honey and nuts, but otherwise, I think they can eat just about anything. You need to give your baby food that will encourage chewing and blended veg will not do that.

My baby is 10 months and eats pretty much everything apart from shellfish and eggs and honey. We give him mostly the stuff we eat he likes to have toast first thing in the morning rather than cereal fish pie is a good dinner. When his big brother eats things like fish fingers, potatoe wedges, pizza fingers and chicken he helps himself. spaghetti bolognaise, mushroom or any kind of rissotto, broth (broth being potato, carrot, turnip, parsnip, broth mixture or soup mixture in a large pan with an added vegetable stock cube and water covering the veg and cook for about one half hours) my mam adds turkey or chicken and he loves that too. I know people will think i'm nuts giving my son all this stuff but he's happy and healthy and parents just know whats best. Hope i've helped.

Search online, theres always plenty on recipes around. Spag Bol, cottage pie, fish in cheese sauce, veggie soup, chicken and red peppers, home made pizzas with healthy toppings, the list in endless. I love cooking for my son whos just coming up 11 months and its a pleasure to see him enjoy my food! You could get a cheap baby cook book too - I have several. I find the best one is by Gina Ford. Happy cooking!!
