Question about puree baby food?
Hi everybody my baby is eating solids, just on rice for the moment, he is 4 months... i realise the new reccomendation is now 6 months but he showed all the signs of being ready he is 19lb's and it was on my doctors reccomendation had to put that in so i dont get abused lol anyway im wondering when i can start him on puree foods such as vegtables, fruit and chicken etc... he started solids one week ago... and also can i puree them myself at home the veggies and fruits or should i be buying the jars of baby food...Any input would be nice, thanks moms xxx
What's the best way to thaw chicken puree baby food? In the microwave it's too dry. What am I doing wrong?
We made chicken puree baby food in the food processor last night and the texture was smooth and well blended. We froze it right away in ice cube trays overnight and placed in a sealed plastic ziploc bag. We tried thawing it today to serve to our baby for the first time, but after a minute in the microwave, the chicken puree was all dried out and flaky. Do we need to add water after? I think the microwave is drying out the chicken too much. I tried putting it on defrost instead, and it was a little better, but is there a better way to thaw it so that it has a texture and consistency like when it was freshly made?

If you make your own baby food, I would like to know what kind of food processor you have found that works best to puree food. Please don't tell me to get the Magic Bullet. It's too small. I'm making large amounts of food like 6 large sweet potatoes, 2 pounds of peas, etc .
My one year old won't eat anything except formula and puree baby food!?
at his one year appointment he weighed 21 pounds, the exact same he weighed at his 9 month appointment. he doesn't eat anything no adult food what so ever. when i try to give it to him he gags and spits it out. my pedi told me to stop feeding him formula, but if i do that, that means the only nutrition he's getting is from pureed jar baby food. what do i do? he won't use his hands to feed himself either, he still won't even hold his own bottle....he also told me to stop using a bottle, but my son doesn't even attempt to hold a sippy cup. i've tried to make him but he just won't do it. he does everything else a normal one year old does, walks, says daddy, doggie, what's that. i know there's nothing wrong with him, maybe he's just really, really lazy?he is definitely capable of holding his own bottle. once he's done eating he'll take the bottle from me and wave it around in the air but he won't hold it to his mouth. he doesn't put anything in his mouth, not toys, not food, not a penny he found on the floor, nothing. i could offer him all the steamed veggies in the world but it would do no good because he simply won't eat it. there's nothing wrong with him developmentally, i just don't know what his problem is when it comes to putting things in his mouth...
What kind of blender works best to puree baby food?
I'm wondering what kind of blender have you found works great to puree baby food? I have a Kitchen Aid blender that they don't sell anymore, and to make it simple... the thing sucks. I'm just wondering that if you puree your own baby food, what blender have you found does a wonderful job? And please don't tell me to buy a food processor. I'm asking about blenders, not food processors.I don't want a food processor because they cost way too much, and I can't afford it. As far as blenders go, I'm looking for a regular blender that you would use to make drinks also. I don't want any of the little blenders that you can buy to throw a meal in and blend because I am pureeing very large amounts of food. I'm talking like 6 large sweet potatoes, etc.
My son is 10 months old and is refusing to eat puree baby food.?
I am trying to find new nutritious meals for him to eat. Any ideas?I am looking for ideas for meals like I have tried sweet potatoe pancakes and he likes them..but I cant feed him pancakes for every meal
My daughter hates all pureed baby food?
My daughter began eating small portions of purees around 4 months of age with dr's approval. She ate them all very well. I couldn't shovel them in fast enough. Now she is 5.5 months old and won't touch a single one. She won't even take one bite. I know she doesn't need them for nutrients but she needs something to help fill her up better. She drink 4oz every 2 2.5 hours. If I give her more than 4 oz at a time she throws up. Anyways my question is what can I feed her is there anything else out there I can try? She has 0 teeth

Does anyone have any suggestions on what new things i could try him with? baby recipes, foods your baby loves, stuff like that He's 10 months on the 8th mayHe still has formula every now and again, but no more than three bottles a day his choice .He prefers his food better and has three to four meals a day.i do give him quite a lot of the foods we eat but my partners mam thinks that some of the things i want to give him, he is too young to have. He loves our pasta, but hates the baby pasta
How can i store pureed baby food made at home for freezing?
i have started boiling steaming veg and fruits for my baby, which i then puree with the hand blender. Is it ok then to cool the food and then bang it in the fridge after putting them in containers? where can i get trays bigger then ice cube trays to freeze the food? secondly when i want to prepare food for my baby how would i go about defrosting and heating the frozen puree?thanks for your help in advance.
