Do you save money by making your own baby food?
I'm just thinking ahead as my little one is only 4 weeks old. She's formula fed and her formula currently runs us about 100 a month, and of course will go up from there as she eats more before the 4 6 month mark when babies start some solids rice, then other foods ect . I'm hoping when I get to the point where I can give her all regular foods in puree form, that I will save lots of money. Also in your opinion, is it very time consuming?
What are the pros and cons of making your own baby food?
I can't breastfeed so I plan to formula feed the baby until she is ready for baby food. With that being said I want to make sure she is getting the healthiest baby food after. My mother bought a food processor and she said that my husband and I should use it to make our own baby food. I am wondering what the pros and cons of it are?? what do you store it in? do you need to add anything to it? Is it healthier than regular baby food?? Thanks so much
Benefits of making your own baby food vs. store baught food?
My daughter is almost 5 months old, so she's getting close to being ready for baby food. I really like the idea of making baby food for her, but I'm still undecided. For those of you who do make baby food, is it more cost effective? Is it healthier? Tell me the benefits of making it vs. store baught. Is it a hassle, or do you fall into a routine with it? Can I use a blender or do you need a certain kind of food processor? Thanks in advance for all of the answers

Making your own baby food?
My baby will be four months in April and I sort of want to get an idea of some things I can make baby food with. I Know vegetables and fruits are a MUST for them. But could I blend up chicken and such not and make baby food with it? My mom did this with all of her children but she has been too busy lately to answer my absurd questions. And I don't know if she would remember what all she made because her baby is nine, ha.Any help is appreciated. . Just making sure And I know what foods she has to wait until a year to have. I am so excited for this, lol.
Can you make your own baby food?
It's just a thought that came to me whilst making smoothies this morning. Haha. Anyway, I'm talking about jars of baby food. Couldn't you just make that kind of food yourself? Like, can you puree bananas and feed that too a baby? Or is store bought baby food modified in some way just for babies? Is baby food healthier than making your own, like is it modified with vitamins or something? And is it even unsafe to make your own?
Questions for those of you who make your own baby food?
So with baby 2 I am planning on making my own baby food. What is the best way to store it? I wasn't to make a lot and freeze it. Should I get this?...toysrus.com product index.jsp?productId 2721830Also, how would I heat it up? I have a bottle warmer that also works for baby food, but I'd have to put it in another container to heat? Should I buy and save the individual glass baby food jars and freeze them? What tips do you have for me? Also, does anyone have any recipes for baby food stage 1 or know of any helpful sites for it? All input is appreciated.

Parents who make your own baby food...?
I am thinking about starting solids pretty soon for my daughter. She's 5 months and one week and she's starting to get mad at me when she sees me eating because she wants some lol. She opens her mouth when I do and watches my spoon go back and forth. But my question is, I fully intend on making all of her baby food at home not buying jars or containers , and am not going to feed her " baby cereal." I was wondering what you would start out with for foods, or what you have started with. Thanks
