Possible infant food allergy?
My 4.5 month old had diarrhea for a few days last week, which I assumed was because my husband and I had the stomach flu. Well this week we started the baby on sweet potatoes as one of her foods. She has eaten it for 2 days in a row now doctor said to try it for 3 4 days on each food . She has had diarrhea since she had eaten the food. She wakes up approx 2 times turning the night now from starting this. She seems a bit more irritable too. Possibly a food allergy? Or is she teething and nothing has pushed through yet? She is not running a temp and seems fine with everything else.
When is it safe to start introducing infant food to babies?
Well my son is 3 months, and well I have been giving him formula. Only problem I am having is because he does not seem to be satisfied with his milk anymore. So I started adding a small amount of infant cereal to his bottle 1tsp. per 1oz now thats starting to not satisfy him. Is it okay to start introducing him to infant foods? If so, what is safe and best for my son?First Time Mommy
What are the best infant foods?
I need to plan a diet for infants b w 0 3 months, 3 6 months, 6 9 months, 9 12 months. I guess the first 3 months, its only breastfeeding.. what after that? What could be the best food for the months later on? Can anyone help me get a right, balanced diet??well, other than breastfeeding, what else can be introduced.. not the commercially available baby foods, but something homemade.. some kind of porridge??
What are the symptoms of infant food allergies?
My daughter has started her cereal and now I have introduced her to vegetables I start her a new one every 3 4 days. So far so good and I probably don't need to worry about anything. However, what type of symptoms would i need to look for? Thanks
Good infant foods to start with?
I have a 10 1 2 month old son and I am looking for some foods for him to start off with. I am looking for something fairly easy so on night when we just want a sandwich, he can have something that is good for him. He gags on some things when I try to give them to him.

Mommies: solely breastfeeding -vs- infant foods combination......?
My son is 6 months old. Obviously, I nurse him. I know that at his age he should now be eating rice cereal and stage 1 baby foods. I have given him these but I really love to nurse him I know that my breastmilk has all the vitamins & nutrients that he needs and that the other foods do not have all that he needs on its own, only in combination. Do you think I need to let up and start giving him the infant foods daily? Or do you think it's perfectly fine to want to nurse him more than anything? I would just like some opinions because I have some people tell me to give him more infant foods and others tell me it's fine for now,... but until when? Thanks moms He likes the flavor infants foods & cereal. Matter of fact, he likes everything we let him taste lol I just like to feed him breastmilk because I know it has everything he needs on its own.
