My son eats everything we eat, except junk food of course lol. He has been eating everything since he started solids at 7 months. We pretty much did babyled weaning with him. Now at 13mo he eats everything! Just put it in front of him and let him go to town. It can be messy but they eat so much better that way. You have a better chance of him trying new things and not choking when you allow them feed themselves as opposed to spoon feeding. The only thing they shouldn't eat is common allergic foods like peanuts, and no honey.

At 9.5 months my daughter ate almost anything we ate, with few exceptions. She never ate baby food though (started table foods at 6.5 months old). She ate foods such as whole grain pasta, steamed veggies, grilled chicken, salmon, scrambled egg yolk, variety of fruit, cheerios, pancakes, toast (whole grain/ wheat)...really, just about anything. ETA: Oh, and my daughter had no teeth. Teeth aren't needed to chew, so don't worry about that.

I cheated. I looked at what Babycenter recommends for this age. So,here you go. Just an idea of what kinds of foods you can introduce to him now. What to feed---Eight to Ten Months • Breast milk or formula, PLUS • Small amounts of soft pasteurized cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese (but no cows' milk until age 1) • Iron-fortified cereals (rice, barley, wheat, oats, mixed cereals) • Mashed fruits and vegetables (bananas, peaches, pears, avocados, cooked carrots, squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes) • Finger foods (lightly toasted bagels, cut up; small pieces of ripe banana; well-cooked spiral pasta; teething crackers; low-sugar O-shaped cereal) • Small amounts of protein (egg, pureed meats, poultry, and boneless fish; tofu; well-cooked and mashed beans with soft skins like lentils, split peas, pintos, black beans) • Non-citrus juice (apple or pear)
