Help deciding on food for baby........?
my baby is 6 months old at what month did you start giving your baby finger food?My baby can't see me eat cause he asks for food, and starts crying.
Baby food for baby who doesn't like purees?
My baby is almost 7 months old. I've tried giving him baby cereal, baby food purees store bought and homemade , and he won't eat them. When he sees the spoon, he clamps his mouth shut and turns his head away. He acts like he is ready for food. He always watches us eat. He can sit up on his own, He puts everything in his mouth except food . I've tried giving him a cooked broccoli floret and a cooked carrot. He wouldn't put the broccoli in his mouth but he did chew on the carrot a bit. What else can I give him? He doesn't have any teeth yet and he is strictly breastfed won't take a bottle . When can he have things like cheerios? And when you give babies juice, is it ok to use any 100 % juice or do you have to use the juice specially made for babies? I don't really see a difference. Any help is appreciated.

Am I eating enough food for baby?
I am 15 weeks pregnant and constantly worry if I am eating enough. For example, today I had a chicken biscuit for breakfast, a grilled chicken sandwich and fruit for lunch, and for dinner, a small piece of salmon, a sandwich, a few bites of spinach at that's eat. I feel like I was able to eat more pre pregnancy. Is this okay or normal?Oh and I'm 5'0, 109 lbs.
Can I switch from pureeing food for baby to baby-led weaning at 8 months? ?
Interested in baby led weaning but have already started making my own pureed food. Has anyone switched in midstream like this?I have given my son 8.5 months old some hunks of soft sweet potatoes and he does fine. I don't think I am confused per se as to what the exact definition is of the phrase. I find it hard to believe that my child's window for " leading" has already closed. I see how the basic idea is to let the baby lead. But surely there are many more opportunities for my baby to " lead" to come. It's not a one time thing the first six times your baby puts a piece of broccoli in his mouth. What's a good first food for baby, besides rice cereal?
my 4.5 month old daughter appears to be REALLY interested in food. she will go into a trance staring at your food and will follow your spoon back and forth. we tried rice cereal and she will open her mouth for the spoon and grab at it and everything. and then comes the bite. i'm not sure she is really interested in the taste of it or isn't sure about the texture or what. but she will try every bite and make the ugliest face and manage to spit it out, but she always wants more. what is a good first food for baby that is easy to digest, etc etc?

Finger foods for babies?
My son is 7 months old, and from what I'm reading, he should be starting to eat small pieces of cheese, etc, by picking them up with his fingers. I am making all his food, and I'm starting to not puree it quite as much, so it's a little chunkier. He's got 2 teeth so far, with another two about to pop out. What do you feed your 7 or 8 month old and when did you start? And do you give them " finger foods?"
