Am I eating enough food for baby?
I am 15 weeks pregnant and constantly worry if I am eating enough. For example, today I had a chicken biscuit for breakfast, a grilled chicken sandwich and fruit for lunch, and for dinner, a small piece of salmon, a sandwich, a few bites of spinach at that's eat. I feel like I was able to eat more pre pregnancy. Is this okay or normal?Oh and I'm 5'0, 109 lbs.
First food for baby, what did you give?
My 5.5 month old some started on his first food 3 days ago, he had sweet potato mash. He has gone well on it so I am going to introduce something else tomorrow. What should I try? I was thinking mashed peas but my mum said that would taste terrible, what do you think? And what are some other suggestions I can try him on?Not wanting to start fruit just yet as I have heard once they start sweet fruit, they may go off veg and I don't want that. He does get the occasional prune juice, but that's all for the sweet stuff for now.
When to increase the amount of food for baby?
I just started feeding our boy 1 tablespoon of rice cereal in the mornings for the past 5 days, he is 5 and half months. I just don't know when to add new foods I made some carrot puree, and I have bananas this is my first baby and I'm just wondering when do I feed him new things? Or add more rice cereal? Or add another meal during the day? Just want to know all the other parents experiences thank you
Baby food for baby who doesn't like purees?
My baby is almost 7 months old. I've tried giving him baby cereal, baby food purees store bought and homemade , and he won't eat them. When he sees the spoon, he clamps his mouth shut and turns his head away. He acts like he is ready for food. He always watches us eat. He can sit up on his own, He puts everything in his mouth except food . I've tried giving him a cooked broccoli floret and a cooked carrot. He wouldn't put the broccoli in his mouth but he did chew on the carrot a bit. What else can I give him? He doesn't have any teeth yet and he is strictly breastfed won't take a bottle . When can he have things like cheerios? And when you give babies juice, is it ok to use any 100 % juice or do you have to use the juice specially made for babies? I don't really see a difference. Any help is appreciated.
Baby food for baby...when?
When can you start feeding your baby jar food. My little man is a little over 2 months and is already eating cereal. When can I start mixing it with applesauce and what not? When can he start eating jar foods?My mother gave my brother and I rice cereal when we were about 4 weeks old and nothing ever happened to us. He needs to cereal to help fill him up so he can sleep longer and night, he doesn't sleep much at all.
Not enough food for baby?
i have been informed that the baby i take care of is not eating her dinner, and have also been asked not to give her a snack. from lunch to dinner there is 6 hours she will be sleeping for three of those hours , and i feel that it might cause some health problems if this is a permanent change. her parents are good people, and im sure they'll listen to what i have to say, but i just want to know if you agree that its a bit too much time between meals. note i have gastritis, or gerd haven't done the proper tests to know which , and it has taken me three years to get it under control, and i am afraid the baby can get it, and since she is only 1.5 it will be very hard to treat her.
List of finger foods for baby?
My daughter is out right refusing to eat anything that she can't pick up lolCan you give me a list of various finger foods, I'm a bit stuck on ideas atm, she can't use her spoon very well so things that are in a sauce is a bit messy to say the least.
What are some good 1st finger foods for babies that are easy to eat?
My daughter is 10 months old and is starting to spit out her pureed baby food all the time. She seems to be much more interested in feeding herself. She likes the Gerber Graduates puffs and yogurt melts, although she sometimes spits those out too, but they aren't enough for a well rounded meal. My main concern is that she only has 2 small stubs for teeth and she easily chokes and gags on her food even the puffs that melt in your mouth . She has even gagged so much that she threw up in the car although the food was on the side of her tongue not in the back of her throat so she wasn't truely choking. I feel so nervous and don't know what kinds of foods to offer her that will be easy for her to eat at this point. Thanks for any suggestions.
Good 1st Finger Foods for baby?
My daughter is 8 months old and eating Cheerios and Gerber Puffs. She eats them fine, no choking or gaging. What are other kinds of finger foods can I give her? She loves picking them up herself and feeding them to herself So preferably something easy for her to eat. Are there any lists out there that show acceptable first finger foods? Also, what kinds of " adult" foods can she have? I know nothing hard or that requires chewing But is spaghetti ok? Mac n Cheese? I'm a first time mom, so this is all kind of new to me. I asked her Dr, but it was the nurse that called me back and she didn't really give me too much to go off of. Any help is appreciated

Is banana a good finger food for babies?
I tried serving my 8 month old banana as a finger food this morning, and it just didn't work. First I tried giving it to him as a slice, and he choked as he tried to swallow it whole. so I tried cutting another slice into quarters, and the same thing happened. So I tried just breaking a piece of the entire banana off and serving it as a whole piece hoping he would just hold onto it and nibble, like he does with the rice crackers . But the other major problem throughout every try was that they were too slippery. The more he tried to pick them up, the more soft and mushy it got and it soon became impossible for him to pick up. Normally, I would assume it was something to practice at, but even I had a hard time picking them up it was like trying to pick up the bar of soap at the bottom of the shower .IS this something worth continuing to learn some skills with, or is banana just not a good finger food at this point?
I need help about solid foods for baby?
i am going to start my son on solids tomorrow but im not sure about making the cereal,how much formula do i add to it or do i make the formula as normal and then pour it in to the cereal i'm not sure and there is no instructions on the box i just dont want to make it wrong. thanks in advance
