Homemade food for babies/toddlers?
I make a lot of food for my 12 month old that is easy to freeze and re heat...baby " hot pockets" , mini meatballs, different pastas, little pot pies, etc. I use mainly organic ingredients and all of the foods are baby friendly, tasty, and healthy. I have been thinking about setting up at the local farmer's market, but am not sure if it is worth my time and effort...you have to undergo kitchen inspections by the health dept. and become a certified food handler, etc. i figure there are lots of moms who don't have the time or energy to make the meals for their kids that they like and this would be a great alternative to mac n cheese or the gerber graduate meals. So what do you think? Would it sell???
Advise on home-made solid food for babies?
I need advise on starting home made solid food for my son. I am not a big fan of canned food so if want to skip that what are my options and how many times a day should a baby eat solid food? Also, is it essential to give him completely bland food. I know I should not give him any added sugar in his food but how about a little salt?
So are these first food for babies good or not?

Some websites recommend banana & avocado as baby first food, but some, specially in my home country Brazil, banana and avocado are a no no for babies under 8 months. My pediatric said I can give pretty much veg & fruits I want, but I like to research further. Any suggestions?Thank you

Food for babies and kids?
hi everybody,i'm from austria vienna and i joined this community because i'm currently working on an innovation project for frozen food. we already found out, that there are still problems concerning food for babies and toddlers. what are your experiences? do you have special needs that have to be covered? or did you already found a solution for your problem? the thing is, that we especially look for people with very strong needs, who would benefit a lot from innovations in this field. i would be very glad to get in touch with you I'm looking forward to hear your opinions on this matter,Yours,Eva
What are some good finger foods for baby?
My 9 month old LOVES to feed himself and it really frees me up to do other things so I'm looking for some new finger food ideas for him. Right now, he's rocking the cheerios, cut up cheese and those gerber puff things. I've tried spiral pasta cooked very well but that seems to make him choke don't know if it's the shape, texture or what but it just doesn't work. What else can I give him that he can mash up with his gums no teeth yet . He has the pincer grasp down well and he doesn't let his toothlessness get in his way. Any ideas?

Good finger foods for baby....?
ok, I've been working with Dallas mainly with just the gerber puffs since I don't know what else to use during meal time to get him to pick up food objects to feed himself...I usually put 1 2 puffs at a time on his tray while I'm feeding him...he tries to pick it up in between bites of food and has managed to pick it up a couple of times but hasn't gotten it to his mouth yet. He still seems " if ie" about using his thumb to pick up things.Anyway...are there some finger foods that might be a little bigger that would be easier to pick up but still ok for him since still no teeth...Ideas?? THANKS
Is avocado a good first food for baby led weaning?
I am no asking for opinions on baby led weaning itself. Just asking if avocado is a good first food?My son just turned 6 months and has been eating mashed avocado with breast milk and loves it. But I want to try BLW and allow him to fed himself.Do I need to do anything to the avocado first, besides cutting it into spears for him? Thanks.
Am I eating enough food for baby?
I am 15 weeks pregnant and constantly worry if I am eating enough. For example, today I had a chicken biscuit for breakfast, a grilled chicken sandwich and fruit for lunch, and for dinner, a small piece of salmon, a sandwich, a few bites of spinach at that's eat. I feel like I was able to eat more pre pregnancy. Is this okay or normal?Oh and I'm 5'0, 109 lbs.
