Baby Food

Question: Just started feeding baby food today. tomorrow i think i will feed him 4 times??

He loves eating from a spoon and although he just started today (I gave him peas for supper and rice cereal for bed), I think tom. I will give him 3 meals and a bedtime snack. Is that too much? I plan on giving him about 3 tablespoons at a time unless he is giving signs of being done. I will still breastfeed after each meal and all day and night too.

They do reccomend starting them out with rice cereal then starting them on jar foods. but if he seems fine with the jar foods also, go for it. try to stick to one food for a short time to make sure he has no food allergies. i would give them two or three jars of the same food and if they had no problem i would to to the next food choice then,. go ahead and feed him all the food you want, if he seems willing to eat. if he wants to eat 3 times have fun he will let you know when hes full.just remember the more u feed him "solid " food the less he might breastfeed since his tummy is getting full on food. my middle son stared eating food at 2 months cuz he was always hurgry!

Just make sure not to introduce different foods too soon. Stick with one or two foods for a week or two to make sure there are no problems with allergies. A baby eats what he needs. He knows when he's full. I see nothing wrong with feeding him food four times a day if he eats it.

Yes this is too much in my OPINION. For first starting, one time is enough. My 6 1'2 month old only does solids 2 times a day and it is not a lot, but it is your baby, so do what you want... OPPS...Maybe I forgot to say that it was my opinion, o wait, I did, lol. Another opinion of mine is to maybe specify the amount of food to be givin?

You have to stick to one type of food for 3-4days to make sure that they don't have an allergic reaction. Even the rice cereal. And you don't want to clog him up, start with just once a day and gradually work up. So, since he had peas today, it's peas tomorrow and again the next day.. no reactions? time for sweet taters (or whatever your choose) take it slow! You can always just give him a spoon to chew on (if it's a soft spoon)
