Is my baby ready to start eating baby food?
My son is 3 almost 4 months old. I've been feeding him cereal with a spoon for about 3 weeks now and he does very well. It seems like his bottles don't fill him up like they use to and he watches me every time I eat something as if he wants some too. Are these signs that he is ready for stage 1 baby food and if so, what kind do I start him out on?The reason I am feeding him cereal is because he has acid reflex and his doctor told me to put cereal in every bottle and spoon feed it to him twice a day so there will be heavier substances in his belly to keep so much from coming back up. If I'm not mistaken, a few of my friends started giving their children stage 1 baby food at 4 months.To the person who called me a bad mother.I asked his question only for other parents points of view on whether or not now would be a good time to start and obviously it is not. There is no reason to be hateful and judging someone's parenting over a simple question. I was unsure because I have several different people telling me different things, including doctors. It was a simply question of advice and help. Not a question of judgement. And who are you to say what advice is outdated? That's the point of the word ADVICE. You can take advice how you choose but if I see that something is working well for MY child and is clear that it is making his acid reflux problem which was causing loss of weight a lot better, then I will continue to do whatever it is that I should do as his mother because he has become so much healthier than before when I was feeding him JUST the formula. As of the point of my question, I was wondering when I should start feeding him fruits and vegetables.
When will a baby begin to enjoy eating baby food?
My 1st and only son just turn 4 months old and the Dr says we can start him on food once a day. We've been trying bananas and it seems like if we don't constantly have a spoon with more on it ready he throws a major fit Is it because he's not used to not being able to continually suck and get food? my son has been eating baby food since about 5 months and suddenly he stopped. now i dont no wat to feed him because i still wanna feed him healthy so any suggestions? i give him cheese and jelly sandwhiches allergic to peanut butter .. and also a few other things but i dont feel like its enoughum first of all karen the sandwhiches are not to heavy because that is all he will eat. he DOES NOT eat baby food and will not eat food thats mashed up. he had a small allergic reaction to peanut butter that will not be lifelong. my son loves peanut butter which is y i gave it to him and sandwhiches are broken up in small pieces he doesnt eat it like a normal person.I WILL NEVER ASK A QUESTION ON HEAR AGAIN IM TIRED OF U BITCHES THAT THINK UR SO GREAT TRYNA PUT SUMONE ELSE DOWN.STFU
Why won't my daughter eat baby foods?
I started my 9 month old on 3rd foods cause she seemed ready and always wanted the food I was eating. She ate well for a few months, now she'll only take a few bites and she's done. I'm really worried about her.... My mother always told me along with the Drs that a child will never starve themselves. She has no teeth yet either. I don't know what to do, I've been giving her " adult" foods and she takes them fine.
