If I start giving my 5 mo old banana baby food now can I mix it with the rice cereal or serve seperately?
I am asking my dr. about it on Monday so, I won't do it either way until then, but I've heard a lot of ppl say that at 5 months they started with the basic fruits. I am guessing this is baby food, of course... but is it supposed to be mixed in with the rice cereal or served seperately. How did your baby do when starting baby foods?lol.. wow, guess i should have read that before i submitted it, huh?
Can discolored banana baby food harm my baby?
I have a jar of baby food bananas, but the bananas inside have a pinkish tint to them. Is this normal? Or should I throw them out? They were just purchased this week, and they came with the pinkish tint. All the jars were the same, I only got one. If I make my own bananas for my baby, should I expect to see a similar discoloration?

What do you think about feeding a 10 week old baby banana baby food in his bottle?
So my baby will be 11 weeks old on Monday, he was born 4 weeks premature weighing 7lbs 14oz. He now weighs 13lbs almost double his weight. He also holds his head up< pretty much all day long and sits up but only for a few seconds at a time. Hes pretty advanced for his age, our doctor has told us so. At 8 weeks his pediatrician recommended adding rice cereal to his bottle due to possible acid reflux as he was always throwing up all his food. We also tried banana baby food then and he got constipated so we stopped. I believed it was the formula because we switched formulas and he started going normal, he was also on breast milk until 6 weeks Well about a week ago my mother started giving him banana baby food once a day in the morning, as of last week we started giving it to him twice a day in the morning and at night but of course my mom is a sucker for his cute looks and thinks he wants bananas so she sneaks it to him in the middle of the day. We add 1 teaspoon in his bottle with 6oz of formula. But as i was just doing researched it says that its not recommend until 16 weeks. Have any of you ladies fed your baby banana baby food without any issues? or pear baby food i gave him that once or twice and by the way he is not constipated at all, he is actually very regular he goes twice a day every day at 11am and 3pm, i know that's to much information but i was just trying to state how regular he is and even after feeding him the banana baby food he is still regular it didn't change a thing. He also loves the banana baby food, he now wont eat in the morning unless he has bananas in his bottle. He can move his tounge back and forth and swallow and eat off a spoon i tried it once before to make sure he knew how to swallow To MyOpinio...my so will not choke & die thanks for your meaningless advice. Your probably an old bitter woman who can't have kids. And my babys eating schedule is just fine. He eas every 3hrs. He doesn't sleep longer from eating the bananas. He poops regular. Nothing has changed since I been feeding him baby food.
I started giving my 5-month-old banana baby food, and now he is really gassy?
He never had a problem with gas before, and he rarely fussed. But now he is always so gassy and crying. Does that mean he is allergic to the bananas or is it something else? I did start him on rice cereal. The doctor told me that I needed to start feeding him " solids" because he was always hungry. He is 5 months old, 28 1 2 inches long, and over 18 pounds. He's huge

Red rash after feeding baby banana baby food..?
I fed my 5 month old niece banana baby food, and about 20 mins into her feeding Irealized that she was starting to get a red rash on her face. I stopped feeding herthe bananas right away, but don't know what else I should do.I can't take her to the doctor because I don't have a car seat with me, so I calledher parents and they're on their way home. will be home in 30 mins So until then, what should I do?Her rash is starting to fade away, and she isn't acting weird or anything, and herbreathing seems fine. But I'm still worried.Opinions? Btw, I checked for baby medication, such as baby benadryl but couldn'tfind any at the house.
Is it ok to give a 4 1/2 month old banana baby food?
My son has acid reflux and to help with that, our pediatrician has told us to give him rice cereal... Not just to help keep the food down, but also because he wants to eat so often, I'm assuming to soothe his throat. However, he doesn't really like it at all. He cries when we try to give it to him, and my friend had bought me banana baby food for my baby shower. We mixed a little in the rice cereal and gave it to him and he loved it. He's really good with eating from a spoon now. He's also drinking Alimentum.. His poop is sometimes dark green, and sometimes brown. I'm not sure why it varies, but it's been like this even before we introduced baby food or rice cereal. Well, I just changed his poopy diaper and his poop was dark green and thicker then usual... I think the thickness is what it's supposed to be because before it was always kind of watery. Not like diarrhea, though. But the colour is a little darker then usual. Also, I know the rule about introducing one thing at a time. We gave him the rice cereal for about a week, but he wouldn't ever eat much of it because he just cried, even the first time we gave it to him. I think this was because it was different then just getting fed from the bottle.I think he's ready. He can sit up with very little help and he opens he's mouth when given a spoon. He does everything a baby should be doing when being introduced foods.I was told not to give him flavoured rice cereal because it tends to make babies allergic in the long run or they are more allergic to them.. Something along those lines. He's on zantac and it doesn't really seem to be working.Noah also is waking up a lot more at night now I don't know why.

My daughter's 6 months old & i just started making baby food with a foodmill. I read that you're supposed to take the seeds out of foods b4 you give them to her. What about banana's? It seems to me that it's almost impossible to do so. Help. Any other advice would be helpful and much appreciated. Thanx.
