Left babyfood out overnight. Is it ok to eat?
My parents gave me opened Gerber green beans when I picked up my daughter at around 9pm last night. I forgot to put it in the fridge and it's almost a full 24 hrs later. Is it still ok to eat?
Pre-warmed babyfood ?
I have a bottle warmer that also warms up baby food Jars. I warm up meat in the baby food jar so its warm, take 1 2 out and keep the other half for the next meal. Somedays I dont use the meat and put it in the fridge to use the next day, but I have been throwing away the meat that morning in fear of getting my child sick. Th jar states Refrigerate after opening and use within 2 days .Even though the meat has been warmed up the night before, and then put in the fridge, is it still ok to give her or am I doing the right thing by tossing it in the trash.I hate to waste the meat but not making my child sick is more important.What should I do?Thank so much for all your imput. 15 mos old still mainly eats babyfood?
My child will spit out just about any other type of more solid food and prefers the bottled kind. I make her fresh stuff and she spits it out. She will eat crunchy grainy things like cheerio's, rye crackers, etc. And she will occasionally eat a banana piece. But mostly she will either throw it on the ground or chew it and then spit it out. Is this bad? I keep thinking someday she will start eating more normal food. I mushed up a hardboiled egg the other day and put little bits of that in her baby food and she ate that, but that is about it. Oh, and I made some p nut butter cookies the other day and she ate some of that, so she can swallow and chew, she just opts not to.I've tried giving her many kinds of foods and she spits them out. I think it is the texture. But I'm not sure how to overcome it.
For those whose babies are eating babyfood now do you give them there bottle before or after their feeding?
I had someone say since we usually eat then drink that we should get our baby's in the habit of doing the same. Have them eat the baby food than drink there formula or breast milk.Thanks. My son just started the rice cereal a few weeks ago. I thought it would be better to give him his milk first since he is still young. And like one poster said sometimes the baby is too fussy and you have no choice.
Should I make my own babyfood?
My doctor didn't advise it. I worry about pesticides. Is it a lot of work to make it? What are the pros and cons? Thanks.
What kind of babyfood with wic in kansas?
i got new wic checks and they allow for 16 4oz jars of babyfood,but i was at walmart looking and i cant figure out what brand i am supposed to get.there are the little wic stickers below everything else except the baby food,so i am baffled.any valuable info would be great
How and when to feed babyfood?
the drs have told me my babies are old enough to start on stage 1 foods and i was wondering how much to give them at a time and how often a day. i have just been giving them one container each at night and then i give them a bath and put them to bed. but i was wondering if i'm supposed to be giving them the food everytime they are hungry and when do i give them a bottle. they are 4 months old so i'm just starting and the dr was not very specific about any of that. my little boy is doing great at eating but my daughter is taking a little longer to get used to eating with a spoon. any help would be greatly appreciated
When to start babyfood?
Okay, so yesterday I was at my mother in laws house, and we were getting ready to eat dinner, and my mother in law said I could get my little girl some peaches or whatever, and I said " she doesn't eat that stuff yet" my little girl is barely 5 months old .We'll, my brother in law's girlfriend, who everybody hates, stared at me and said " she doesnt eat peaches, oatmeal,..." and I said " NO... your not supposed to until they are 6 months old. I'm doing what the pediatrician says to do" . She aid " not even baby cereal" , and I said " sometimes but she doesnt like it and wont eat it" .This made me feel like a bad parent for not giving my baby these thing's yet, but I've heard that your supposed to wait until about 6 months old for babyfood... AND LATER for solids like that peaches . She doesnt even have teeth, or even teething right now.When did your baby start to eat babyfood and also baby rice cereal with a baby spoon? I tried this, and my little girl just pushes it out with her tongue and doesnt know what to do with it.I feel like a bad mom that I havent done this, and she made me feel stupid. Am I bad mom for not giving her these thing's already?
When is it time for BabyFood?
My baby boy weighed in at 11 15 at birth, Now at 3 months he is 16 13, Formula just doesnt seem to do the trick, He eats 6 Oz. of Formula every 3 4 hrs., and he still acts hungry for a few min. and then he acts like he is fine. The saying eat until they act full didnt work for him because, one time I tryed that and he ate until he got sick, So seriously I didnt go by that anymore I went by the Similac Chart from then on out. But anyways, Do you think I should start him on babyfood soon? He hasnt had rice yet, But ppl tell me when they see him where he is bigger that " that kid is ready for Babyfood" But Im thinkin he is only 3 months old. Im going to talk to his pediatrician at his 4 month check up because they wont give me answers over the phone... So what do u guys think??? He has been holding his head up fine, He trys to sit up on his own sometimes but only for a few seconds, But he can sit up well only WITH Support.
