Cheap baby shower foods?
I'm doing a baby shower for approximately 50 people on a budget and need some ideas.I'm already thinking about cut up fruits, cheese & cracker tray, and a few coffee cakes.The shower is also going to be outdoor and I need some ideas for what I should use for decorations, if any. Also, it is going to be co ed, and I have no idea what kinds of prizes to get for the men.

I am having my last baby, my fifth and its a boy Yay We have 4 girls, and we are all excited. I have NEVER had a baby shower and so we are planning a fun couples shower with alot of games played minute to win it style. Its gonna be a blast I have alot of ideas for decor, favors, games ect. However I am stumped on foods that compliment our theme. especially because one of our guests had a major banana allergy. We have a cake, and are making serving sizes of monkey balls in monkey cupcake wrappers. What foods can you think of? They have to be good for both sexes ie no petite celery sandwiches... Monkey balls are kinda like a pull apart ciinamon bun. What are the best baby shower foods?
I am hosting a baby shower for my sister in law this Sunday. They are expecting their first child a girl . I have done mostly all of the shopping, but am running into a bit of trouble being creative when it comes to the food. I want to do simple things that dont require too much preperation means less chance of messing it up, lol . I was thinking veggie platter and things along that line like appetizers basically. Any good suggestions? Or any other suggestions b c in fact the best way to have a great party is learning from others mistakes, is there something you want to warn us of stearing clear of? Any simple games ?Her mother works at a local bakery and requested the honors of taking care of the cake. Which I must say is absolutely beautiful.

I am hosting an cat in the hat Dr Seuss ABC baby showerso i was thinking of having a fruit tray with 3 different fruits one for each letter such as A apple B Bananas C Cherries the key is the 3 fruits should be good together also i was thinking of making some kinda homemade dipping sauce and the same for a veggie trayI know of a great spinach and sour cream dip i make so something that would be good to dip in thatI am thinking celery carrots and bagel chips but i need something with A But the problem with banana's they will go bad if not eat right away its an outdoor shower so i need something that wont spoil fast .any idea s for decoration are appreciatedso far I have thing 1 and thing 2 cupcakes and i am thinking of making rice crispy with ABC cereal in the shape of little blocks and have blue fruit punch its a boy and label it true blue goo and have ice cubes with little gummy fishPlease no game idea that is taken care of i am in charge of food and decorationsthe budget is 100 for food i need a appetizer too am so lost I have 2 desserts done and the fruit and veggi almost done so clueless for the appetizer

I'm giving my very dear friend a Baby shower next Sunday. I don't have a lot of money to spend on this shower as I'm the only one giving the shower. However, I just found out that she invited 75 people but, I don't think everyone will come I'm estimating around 35 though...anyways, what are some CHEAP finger foods that I can serve???? My friend is throwing me a baby shower. She & I were talking about the menu. We thought about doing a fruit tray, veggie tray, meatballs, croissants with chicken salad, a cake.... and maybe a few more little things.What would you like to be served if you were my guest? Or, does this menu sound ok?
What to have as baby shower food?
I am throwing a baby shower for my best friend and have been trying to decide what to have to eat. I don't want to have hot dogs or hamburg bbq like every other shower ive been to. I was thinking of having lasagna...but doing 4 variations so people can choose what they like. Like mushroom lasagna, tomato sauce lasagna, chicken and cheese lasagna, and something else. That way if someone doesn't like one thing, there's other options. I also thought of doing a side salad and baguettes and some veggies and dip. Does this sound like a bad idea or do you think it will actually work out well?It will be 1pm....and there are people coming from other states so I figured a meal was the way to go.

I'm a hostess for one of my best friend's baby showers, and one of the games that I picked out for us to play was the whole " guess the type of baby food" game. I was wondering, about how many different types should we get? The last shower I went to we had I think 9, but I don't know if that's too many or not. What do you think?

i just recently got screwed over by my boyfriends sister she said she was paying for my baby shower rental and everything and then told me today a month from the date of my shower that shes not doing it .. so i have to do it on my own and pay for it all myself well and my mother so i am on a tight tight budget .. i need some cheap food ideas i have like 30 ish people comming ....so far i have ..thought of deviled eggs potatoe macaroni salad jelly log rollsmini sausage rollswrapssandwiches ..veggies and fruit plattersanything else thats quick and easy ....that is cheap?

my baby shower is in just 4 short weeks and the hosts have requested a list of the foods id like present. the shower is at 5pm on a sat. i already know i want fried chicken little place down the street has ammmmmazing fried chicken but im not sure about side dishes? any ideas???
