Baby Food

Question: Got any great baby shower food, decor or game ideas?

I am hosting a baby shower for my sister. She has been trying for a baby for 7 years, has suffered losses, and is finally due to have a baby in April. I want it to be very special. The theme is "Storybook ". She is a bookworm, so we're basing the shower on children's books. I need some ideas for food, decor, etc. Help!

You can do Dr sues theme food a veggie platter deli meat rolled up. deviled eggs the veggie platter can be baby veggies like baby carrots. cherry tomatoes celry witha veggie dip from knorrs. you can do little sandwiches. you can make ham roll ups with cream cheese and chopped green olives. get spreadable cream cheese and chop up green olives mix together spread on ham and roll it up. fruit punch and caffeine soda would be good. a Dr sues cake and you can go to party city and get Dr sues decor and make little paper books of his rimes. or you can do mother goose theme. and get the theme from party city. or any other party store.

For drinks...put some type of yellow drink..pineapple juice works good, into a new never used kiddie potty for a punch bowl. its cute. ♥♥♥ the best game that we played at my baby shower was the "poopie diaper " game. you take a bunch of different kinds of chocolate candy bars...how ever many you want. put each of them into a different diaper and melt the candy in the micowave. number the diapers so that when your guests are trying to guess the "poopie " they can number it and see who gets the most right. its gross but fun. we also played a baby food guessing game where we all tasted baby food and tried to guess what they were.

We had alot of fun at my babyshower, it thrown by my mom and one of her close friends. We did the baby-food eating game. You have 5 people sit on a chair, pick another person to feed them, who ever is doing the feeding must be blind folded ,using a plastic spoon. its funny cause they dont know how much food they are getting inthe spoon, and if the food is hitting the mouth until they feel the persons mouth. so who ever finishes the food the fastest wins. Its kinda messy but its fun, its get everyone yelling, screaming. We also did the diaper baby game. You put a babydoll on a chair have two people try putting a diaper on but blind folded and with one arm behind there back, for 30secs-1min, who ever is the closest to getting the diaper on wins.

At my sister's baby shower everyone wrote down what they thought she should name the baby anonymously and put them in a hat. then my sister read the names one by one and either vetoed or said maybe. that gave us a lot of laughs.
