Baby recipes for 7.5 month old baby?

Question: Baby recipes for 7.5 month old baby?

(Posted by: Juice on 2008-03-16 07:40:26)

Hiya my baby girl is 7.5 months and has purees for dinner and tea! i sometimes give her jars but they stain, but mostly i like to make my own for her! she really likes mash potato so i give her cheesy mash and corned beef hash a lot (i blend it to a paste) i was wondering what other meals i can make for her!? any ideas? i ususally make 2 portions one for the day and put one in the fridge for the next day! i give her vegetables too but their not that filling. is it ok for her to mash potato a lot? and any other suggestions for foods i can make that dont take long? thanks xx also how do i cook chicken breast? cause for me and my partner we do it in the George Foreman? can we do the babies in there too?

I like this website: wholesomebabyfood.com ***EDIT*** I wouldn't give her mashed potato a lot though, maybe once a week...

I used to give my children chicken breast with carrot and potatoe. Roast pork with brocolli and potatoe. U can also boil some suede with potatoe. Don't blend it too much, at 7.5 months she shld be having some lumpy bits too so she can get used to solid food properly. I made the mistake with my first child and when he was about 1 years old he wldn't eat lumpy bits and wld gag! He was 1.5 by the time he got used to it. Enjoy yr baby.

My 7 month old grandson eats most things = - my daughter makes a lot of her own recipes up and uses butternut squash and the like in place of potato - he loves it all.

My little girl is 10months old and i tried lots of different things, here are few things you may be interested in. Tuna and Broccoli pie I potato, 3 spears of broccoli, 15g unsalted butter, 1tbsp plain flour, 4 fl oz(125ml) full fat milk, 1 tin of tuna in water only. ( i found it best to blend the tuna down first or blend it all at the end to make it a smoother texture. Boil the potato and broccoli, then simmer until soft. Then melt the butter in a seperate pan and slowly add the milk, stirring continuously until it thickens, simmer for a minute. Mix it all together and as i said you can give it a quick wizz with a blender, then place in an ovenproof dish and bake for 15mins on gas5 or elec 190 c. It will make 6portions and last in the freezer for 4weeks. Basically you can blend down your own food aswell, like if you have a roast but without salt and use baby gravy. which i get from sainsbury's! Chicken with any veg and a homemade cheese sauce aslong as it's full fat milk used. Lorraine Kelly's baby and toddler eating plan is great, and its not expensive either. I got mine from sussex stationers!! Good luck.
