I got my son an osh kosh pair of overalls with a thermal onsies that goes underneath. the thermal had snow man patterns, and the overalls were VERY dark. i usually dont wash the cloths before putting them on my son if they are brand new ( bad mommy award? ). Anyways, my son started sucking on the jean and shirt, and blue ink got everywhere!!! the thermal, my babies face, his hands, his lips. i feel like i wasted my money on a bad product. although it can be washed, i dont feel baby cloths should bleed that much. what do you think? should i return this item? i kinda want my money back i wont lie.

I would! I agree that baby clothes should not bleed that much. it is only natural that baby will try to suck on clothing and I cannot imagine dye is something that you want your child to ingest. I think it would be perfectly acceptable for you to return something for that reason. p.s. - don't feel too bad, I do not always wash brand new clothing before putting it on my daughter either.

See my answer on your first question. I put in their number, just call them directly, I dont think the store will take them back. The company itself is usually more of a help.

I would wash them and see if it still bleeds. If so then yes take it back it not it's no big deal.

They'd definitely be going back if they were mine! Babies suck clothes and, yes, whilst the colours will run a bit they shouldn't do this! If a baby cannot wear them without getting dye everywhere then they're not fit for purpose.

Usually with very dark denim, there is a warning tag saying that the ink may transfer and to wash before wearing. Was there a tag like this on the garment? I know my daughter had a jumper from Baby Gap that had that warning on it. If it did have that tag, you are SOL. They gave a warning, and are legally covered. If not, call the company and/ or the store and complain and request a refund.

I definetely would! Just go in and tell them exactly what happened, because had you washed it, it probably would have bled in the wash anyways! Worst case scenario they might give you store credit that you can use towards something else.

It is very odd that it should bleed color that badly. I would take it back and try to get a refund.

It's not a bad product. That IS what happens with any clothes dyed that dark blue color. I remember when I was like 15. I wore a pair of brand new dark blue jeans, with a brand new pair of white sneakers. It ended up raining that day, and my sneakers and socks were turned blue, along with some of my skin. If you like the overalls, I would just wash them and keep'em. If you don't like them then return them. But it's not a bad baby product, it only happened because you didn't wash them.
