What home cooked meal would you love to have on your first night home with your baby ? No, I won't be cooking. But my husband asked me this question and I haven't made up my mind what I would like yet lol. He is cooking :)

I hope you're not cooking on your first night home with your baby!!! Hubby should be doing this... you might be excited and nervous, so maybe something light.

I remember each time I came home, if we were in town (my husband was in the AF and we travelled a lot), my mom would cook my favorite meal which was smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, green peas, salad and corn bread.

Something I would just have to heat up, and something healthy. Vegetarian Lasagna, I would make it in advance and freeze it. I use julienne carrots, fresh spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, summer squash, zucchini, broccoli, (whatever is in season), also use ricotta cheese, mozzarella and I make a cream/ Alfredo sauce instead of marinara.

I would have your hubby (or you) pre-make your favorite meal...I liked appetizers and finger foods since I had a c-section and really couldn't sit up that well. Then when you get home and are ready to eat hubby can throw the meal in the microwave and you can have a picnic on the bed. (don't do it on the floor since it's hard to get up from there) I loved the finger foods the best since my hubby could feed me and just be loving at a time when I needed it. Motherhood is the best and I loved having my daughter but it can be exhausting and it's easy to lose yourself thinking about the baby. Enjoy and congrats on the little one!

I would like chicken spaghetti with a garlic bread stick and a spinach salad that has raisins and pecans and pears in it, with a italian dressing. It is so good! Oh and a slice of pumpkin pie :)
