Organic baby formula and food?
For my environmental science class I am doing a 10 minute presentation on organic baby formula and food. I'm going to start the presentation off with describing what organic is, why it cost more, where it can be bought, etc. I've seemed to find a bit of information on organic baby food but I'm having a little more trouble with finding information on organic baby formula. Any information you can share on organic baby formula or food would be great If possible can you leave links as well? I have to have URLs of where I got my information.
Rice cereal in one month old baby formula bottle?
My daughter is 1 month old, she has bad gerd, Her doctor never listens to me, and tends to have very bad ideas. Once she told me to put a medication in my daughters mouth for thrush, then when I got it filled the pharmacy told me never to put it in her mouth.So I want second opinions.I was told to add rice cereal to her bottles. Just enough to make them a tad thicker.Is this safe? If so how much to add to 4 oz?Cassie it very well could be. My daughter was doing that too. It's a simple test. Just ask them to test her. They give get this stuff to drink and then do this scan thing where they watch and it gies down her throat into her stomach and comes right back up, and that was diagnosed as gerd.She has bad reflux as well and is on Zantac.
Why am I having to give my breastfed baby formula?
My baby is two months old. She's a breastfed baby. At night she wants to nurse from about 8pm 5am. She gets supper fussy to where she screams so hard that she gets over heated and super sweaty. After I feed her 3 or more times in a row, I sometimes check my milk by pumping. Sometimes there is nothing. So I have had to give her one bottle a night, about an extra 1oz. I know that it might have to do with her sleeping more during the day. But in the day I have a lot of milk and at night she drinks me dry and cries hysterically. I only give her the bottle because I feel bad she's so hungry. Is there anything I can do to get my body to make more? Should I be pumping milk during the day when she sleeps more and feed that to her at night? Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do?I know I don't HAVE too, I just didn't know how else to word the question.I know I don't HAVE too, I just didn't know how else to word the question.So if she is not crying but screaming and I feed her for several hours strait and then I give her a bottle and she's fine, there is nothing wrong with my milk supply? I know I should not give her formula. I don't want to, that is why I am asking for advice. I just want to know why we are having this issue. Most nights I do not give her any formula. Last night was the first time in weeks. Only when she is crying hysterically. And I thought about pumping during the day to save it for her at night, but I never do because I'm always worried she will wake up to eat right after I pump. But it's good to know that pumping out nothing doesn't indicate that I don't have milk. That's hopeful. I will try feeding her more during the day and see if this helps too.
I have a question about feeding ENFAMIL baby formula. Please advise!?
For her first 4 weeks my daughter was on enfamil " newborn" unable to breastfeed... We then switched up to enfamil " Infant" for the last 4 weeks. There was no change when switching to the infant. We just received a sample tub of " newborn" in the mail. I'd love to use this tub, this stuff is expensive. Is that bad to do this? Newborn is recommended for age 0 3 months and she's only 2 months old. Do I need to do 1 2 newborn 1 2 infant or is it just not a good idea?
Are canadian and American baby formulas the same ( similac soy)?
I'm canadian and It's cheaper buying formula online at amazon.com but I noticed the formula package isn't the same at all , here it's similac insomil soy And the cans red but in the states it's purple but it says it's similac soy ..... Would they be made the same , I dont want my son to react bad to it If he dosent like it I'm spending alot of money on it
Is my baby formula still good even if i had it refrigerated?
i had three small bottles of Enfamil premium newborn, unopened in the fridge for months. They were given to me as samples. I ran out of my newborns formula tonight and remembered i still have these. Are they safe to use???? the expiration date says august 2012. its a bit cold from being in the fridge this whole time, does that affect whether its good or not or should it have been kept at room temp??
Similac coupon check things for baby formula?
I got some Similac coupon checks in the mail for $5 off similac baby formula Since that is the Formula we will be using with our son as it was the same formula we used with our daughter I am having a c section and we had planned to buy the ready made bottles that i can grab quickly if needed because i will be home alone with the baby and our 3year old for most part of the day as my husband works early morning mid afternoon shifts Does anyone know if i can use the coupon checks on the ready made formula or is it only for the Powder stuff? The coupon does not state rather or not i can use it on ready made?oh just hush with the breast is best bullcrap. Can my 10 month old baby eat 1 spoon of baby formula powder?
My baby girl is 10 months old, and she loves to eat baby formula powder . She doesn't like to have formula mixed in water.I would like to know if it is safe to give half or a spoon full of baby powder and then make her have some water.
Is it safe to use water with fluoride when mixing baby formula?
I heard that baby formula already has enough fluoride in it, so mixing baby's bottles with water with fluoride is like overdosing a baby... which can lead to fluorosis, mental retardation, lower IQ ect.I was thinking about giving my baby tap water with formula, but now I don't think it is such a good idea. She is 8 months old.There is fluoride in all formula...
Making baby formula question?
I boiled the water, it says to wait for it to cool. Is this just so the temperature isn't too hot for baby? It's just slightly warm and I wanted to warm the bottle anyways so can I use the water now or should I wait? If I need to wait, why is that?I love how people know no information, yet still judge. I am actually breastfeeding... but I need to wean my daughter off of being breast fed. Heard its best to do it slowly one bottle a day, then slowly increase it to more. Can i still return baby formula i just bought?
i just bought similac sensitive formula from publix to see if it would work better for my baby. so far its waaaay too foamy and its definitely not working for her.. its made her even more gassy does anyone know if publix would take back the opened can with a receipt?
