Would baby food satisfy my 8 month old's hunger?

Question: Would baby food satisfy my 8 month old's hunger?

(Posted by: pediaWHAAT? on 2010-03-10 15:28:30)

So i posted earlier about getting a spider bite and decided to call his pediatrician for advise. he told me i had to stop breastfeeding and pump out the milk then discard them ):. i need to be treated with antibiotics )): i dont have anything to feed my baby but baby food from beech nut at the moment, would that help? what else should i give him? i haven't really start him on solids yet, he's very picky on what to eat. sometimes he'll just eat some of what i'm giving him and then insist on breastfeeding.

The baby food will solve his hunger for food. But he will still need some sort of milk, so if you can't breastfeed, then he will need formula. Depending on how long you can't breastfeed for. I can't quite understand your question. But baby food is fine for babys.

Yeah it might but if hes not much of an eater it wont, you should try giving him some formula. im not sure what your circumstances are or for how long you wanted to satisfy him, but i would get some formula they have cans for like 5-8 dollars either concentrate or ready to feed. milk is their main supply of food still. another thing you can try is rice water, it has a lot of nutrients in it in case you dont want to start him on formula. when my daughter was sick her doctor told me to stop giving her milk and give her some rice water so doctors reccomend it.Hope I Helped!
