Question: What can i feed my 11 month old son who refuses a bottle, and baby food.?

He loves cheese and pasta with tomato sauce. he'll eat a bit of steamed carrots, but not much. and i feel he is not eating enough. i am worried! please give me advice on new creative things to feed my stubborn little man! :)

Just find something his likes and feed it to him as much as he will eat it. kids tend to get really picky around that age just have to go through it my daughter is 18 months and only eats 4 different things Other than that she won't eat, the doc says it is fine

Just keep offering veggies and fruits. Make it easy on yourself and by canned fruits (in natural juice) and veggies (no salt added) I found that I only offered my kids things that I liked, but when I started offering things I would never have had, they enjoyed them. You could try sweet potatoes, just bake like you would a baked potato and it has such a sweet flavor, lots of kids love it! Even if you have offered a food and your child turns it down, try it again at another time. It can take up to 10 exposures for a child to determine if they like something or not. You can also try making smoothies with various fruits and even veggies. Good Luck.

Just keep offering. My middle child ate very little solids until she was right around a year old, and she gradually increased her intake after that. She's now 5 years old and is a great eater. Like someone else said, try canned fruit (in juice, not syrup) and canned veggies (no salt added) because those are soft and easy to eat. Bananas, melon, and berries are also great (and tasty!) for young ones. (I know the recommendation is no strawberries until a year, but if you have no family history of allergies, it's probably not a big deal at this point.) Fresh pears are also very good, and if cut into thin slices, they can be held and bitten quite easily. As for veggies, my kids particularly liked sweet potatoes, canned green beans, and peas. Also continue to offer small pieces of meat, maybe with a sauce for dipping -- ketchup, applesauce, yogurt, or salad dressing. I've always been told that it's our job, as parents, to offer a variety of healthy foods, and it's the child's job to decide what, when, and how much to eat. Barring any extenuating circumstances, children will not starve themselves, and they'll typically take in all they need. Look at his diet over the course of several days or a whole week, not a single day, and it will start to balance out a bit more.
