Best food processor for pureeing baby food?

Question: Best food processor for pureeing baby food?

(Posted by: IQ on 2010-03-01 11:37:47)

I need a food processor that can blend food to a very smooth consistency (The consistency of a stage 1 baby food). I checked consumer reports and none of the food processors they reviewed scored in "excellent " for pureeing. Also, it's very important that it's a good quality product; I don't want a piece of the processor to break off into the food. I've had blenders where a piece of metal had come off into the food - even though it was a sturdy new glass blender!

I use a Magic Bullet. It works wonderful for pureeing my baby's food into a smooth consistency. I've never had any problems with any pieces breaking off.. I don't think that's too common.

Any cheap hand blender will do fine, that's all I ever used, and it got things smooth enough without having to use a huge food processer. Saves time on cleaning.

I agree with the first post- the Magic Bullet is a fantistic tool to puree foods for baby. I've been using it since my now toddler was an infant. I started pureeing it and then when she was ready for chunkier food I use the 'hand pulse " from the Bullet. When my she started getting older, I also made milkshakes for my little one (use breastmilk or formula add banana,, and blend). Now I have a 8 month old and I continue to use the Magic Bullet. Check it out...
