How do you make your baby food with salmon?

Question: How do you make your baby food with salmon?

(Posted by: Jayden was born on 7/13/09 on 2010-01-29 12:57:11)

I couldn't find the recipe . Should I boil or grill it? And just puree it with water / formula??? Or can I boil salmon and put rice to make salmon porridge? How do/ did you make it? Thanks,

Fish is in the top 10 most common allergies and doctors recommend to wait until baby is a year old. But if you want to feed your baby salmon I'd boil it with no seasonings and puree it with the water you boiled it in.

I'd steam it over boiling it...

First boil the salmon until it is very soft. Then drain off the water and throw it away. Next remove all of the skin and bones from the salmon. Then break the salmon into flakes into a dish and puree it with a whisk and a little cream. Pour it out into a small glass bowl and put it out for next doors cat, and then get something sensible for your baby.

I think 7 months is a little too young to introduce fish to a baby. I would wait until at least 10 months. It is a high allergy food. wholesomebabyfood.com/ introducingfishtobaby.htm

For my son I baked it, plain and then pureed it with his favorite veggy or beans. It is great to thin it out with formula! My son loved it and he's a couple weeks older than your baby. Be sure to okay it with your ped just in case, but mine okayed it along with chicken and other meats!
