Are plastic baby food jars safe? does anyone uses them now?

Question: Are plastic baby food jars safe? does anyone uses them now?

I bought some and feed my baby for a week. Now i read about its unsafe to microwave them because of BPA or something like that. I'll buy glass jars next time though, just wonder if they were dangerous, so why Gerber still sell them

They are probably using plastics without bpa in them. i can't see them selling the plastics that are potentially dangerous, especially once all of those baby bottles got recalled because of it.

I am pretty sure they are safe. we bought them for our son and i never heard about the bpa in them. gerber recalled all their cups/ bottles that had it in there so i am sure they pulled those if they even had them! i wouldnt worry about it! i trust it!

It's not just BPA that's dangerous when microwaved, most plastics give off some chemicals when microwaved on a regular basis. I would definitley recommend trashing them and using the glass jars instead.
