Best baby food making methods...?
I have a 2 month old little girl and I am really excited to make her food in a few months. For Christmas I received a Baby Magic Bullet and after reading the reviews and seeing all these cool gadgets that steam and blend all in one I am now having second thoughts.... Should I return the BMB and buy a Brezza or a Baeba? I don't own a food processor at all.... should I just invest in a good food processor and vegetable steamer? That way I can continue to use them even after she has moved onto finger foods?Add I'm not interested in using a fork. I work full time and will need to make very large batches of baby food in advance for the week while she is at the sitters.Add I'm not interested in using a fork. I work full time and will need to make very large batches of baby food in advance for the week while she is at the sitters.ADD I'm not sure why you're not answering my question but are instead telling me to use a fork. That's not what I asked. I know babies ranging from 4.5 8 months who are all consuming baby foods from jars. My doctor suggests that babies can be placed on baby food as early as 5 months according to the specific child's needs. I am a full time sailor in the United States Navy with a husband who is currently deployed, after my 10 hour day I don't make myself dinner and sit down at a table, therefore I will not have food to just massh up from my plate and give to her.ADD I love how asking about food processors turned into me being a lazy mom for not wanting to use a fork or a potato masher and wanting a little convenience. You may work 10 hour days but I highly doubt you run up and down a flight line all day catching planes. No I don't expect my kid to eat out of a jar for the rest of her life, that's ridiculous. Right now I need to do things in a timely manner making it easier for me and getting as much as I can get done at once. In a few months my husband will be home and I will not feel so overwhelmed, I will be making meals every night again. I guess me not wanting to feed her store bought baby food and putting in a little extra effort to make sure she gets food that I'm comfortable with isn't enough, apparently I need to mash every meal individually with a fork in order for her to buy me a " 1 mom" mug in the future.People perched on the highest horses have the farthest to fall.I am definitely going to ask my doctor about BLW and whether or not it's right for us. Very interesting

6 month old how much baby food?
She eats half of a 4 oz jar twice a day but the doctor wants me to give her it 3 or 4 times a day? Isn't it more important she gets her formula rather than her fruit and veg?

How do I make avocado baby food?
I bought an avocado but have never prepared one before. It was soft to the touch all around but not too soft. I peeled it and took the pit out. I used the Baby Bullet to make the baby food. The recipe was vague and didn't say much. I made it raw and did not cook it. When I was cutting it up to put into the blender it felt like the consistency of butter.I tasted it and it really didn't taste good, it literally tasted like I made butter. My daughter didn't like it at all either.Did I make it correctly, or did I do something wrong. How do you make your baby food with avocado? Thanks in advance.
Using breast milk for pureed baby food and freezing - possible or not?
Hi, I want to make a few vegetable purees that call for milk has anyone used breast milk for these and froze it in batches. If so did it defrost ok? I know that breast milk liquefies cereal for example did any such thing happen with purees? My baby is 6 months old and I usually have 150 180mls of milk to spare each day not every day just depends on his appetite I would prefer not to use formula for the purees and cows milk is out of the question for this age. Also I know I can skip adding the milk but who doesn't like their potato and spinach puree to be creamy... Thank you in advance In answer to 'K' I have all the milk my baby needs right now and more so I don't see the point in giving him cows milk and subsequently tipping mine down the sink I have a surplus of frozen milk . Also 'Cow's milk isn't as rich in several nutrients, especially iron, as breast milk or formula, which is important for healthy first year development. Until the baby is eating a variety of iron rich foods, feeding breast milk or commercially prepared formula ensures that they will get a sufficient amount of iron.Additionally, there is evidence suggesting that the early introduction of cow's milk increases the chances of a child developing diabetes later in life. This is especially important in families with a history of the disease. Finally, children who switch to cow's milk before their first birthday have higher incidences of Allergies and eczema than those who wait.' safekids.co.uk transitioningtocowsmilk.htmlAs we did with our 3
Baby nutrition; home made vs. jared baby food.?
Okay, so I know that it's healthier to make your own baby food but if I'm preparing food for my 6 month old and then freezing it is it really worth doing it myself as opposed to buying PC Organic baby food in a jar? I'm talking about nutrition value. I want him to get the most from the fruits and veggies I'm serving him. Thank you
When To Feed Baby Foods?
My little girl is going to be 5 months old at the end of this month. She generally eats 8 ounce bottle every 2 hours or so she has been everyone so often bumping to a 9 10 oz bottle for a feeding or two during the day . She normally starts eating at about 6 7am then last bottle is about 9 10pm and about every 2 hours in between there .My question obviously is when is a good time to start her on baby rice oatmeal or stage 1 baby foods? One dr not her pediatrician said do not give her ANYTHING even a little water or anything. Her actual pediatrician said to just wait to see how it goes until she is about 5 6 months old. My toddler started of foods when she was about 5 months old she had 4 teeth by then baby doesn't have any yet . I plan on having a meeting with her Dr and see where she stands but I want other parent's opinions where their child was at with foods. Was your toothless bundle of joy eating this much formula in a day at 5 months? When did you start foods? My toddler ate about this much as well. They have grown pretty fast daddy is 6'1 so they are tall babies and hit growth spurts a lot . So that is why her big sister started gerber rice early but she also had teeth by then too . I don't believe anything is wrong with her or that she is bored. She has always been a bit of a pig that is why she is on formula didn't produce enough for her to eat . She has always slept all the way through the night from 9 10pm to 6 7am...every once in a while she will wake up between 3 4am for a bottle but that is only on a day where she might not have eaten very much. Seems I am getting a generalconsensuss of 6 months. I did read when my toddler was a baby to wait until they were sitting up which she was already at 5 months however baby isn't yet. So maybe I should wait until she has better tummy muscle control. Just worried that she isn't getting what all she needs as far as feeding wise.
