Question: Gerber baby food stages..?

So my son has gone through all the stage 1 food by gerber and now switched to stage 2.. Since you have to stay with one food for a couple of days to see allergies, why do second and third stages come mixed with so many ingridients that are not sold in separate containers?? Same with stage 2 dinners.. since he's never had chicken, or rice, or macaroni!! they're all mixed with something, not single ingridient cans.. anyone else ever wonder about this?

No, only because they should have already been exposed to the majority of the ingredients. He's had rice, rice cereal and macaroni is wheat or something ... the infant cereal covers that ... so its' just the meats. If you're nervous, just buy the meat and mix it yourself with one the veggies he likes.

Even though the foods are mixed still stick with the waiting a few days before starting a meal. I thought the same thing to, my mother told me that if they are going to have allergies it is more than likely with the stage 1.
