At what age did you start feeding your baby stage 3 of Gerber baby food? Did they eat the whole jar, or just part of it?

I think it was around 10 months to a year. every child is different and i just went of what he could and couldn't chew easily. he would usually eat the better part of a jar of the dinner and also the better half of a jar of fruit.

My son is 9 months old and we have started it and he does not eat it all but he is also a preemie he will eat about a 3rd of it each setting. It all depends on the baby's ability to eat the lumpier foods, my first son skipped the stage 3 all together and went straight to table food.

I am starting my 9 1/ 2 month old on stage 3 now. I have tried giving it 3 times now. He gagged the first couple of bites. They actually have chunks of food. He is still getting used to it though. He has been eating about 3/ 4 of a jar of stage 3 and then a dessert of stage 2

My kid went from stage 2 to table food. Mind you, I did use a hand mixer for some of the foods. My girl may be petite, but she is a hardy eater. She would easily eat a whole jar.

My kids actually never ate Stage 3. They went from Stage 2 to solid table foods. But I think they're designed for kids around 9 mos or older. It all depends on how long your child has been on solids too. A child who is used to texture will be ready for them, but a child just being introduced to solids will not.

I tried Stage 3 when my son was about 9 months, but he refused every flavor. He continued to eat Stage 2 fruits and veggies (one of each at lunch and dinner) when I offered them up until he was about 11 months old, but he preferred table food. (In fact, he would never eat the meat baby foods at all.) He was aware that we were eating "good " food and he was just being offered "baby " food. I would just make a blander, softer version of our food for him. If you read the Stage 3 foods, you can see what spices they use and just use the same ones when you prepare your meals so that it won't be too strong, salty, or spicy for baby. (I remember onion powder and garlic powder, but I has been a year, so the memory is fuzzy.) My husband and I would just salt our food after we served it to our plates so that my son didn't get very much extra salt. It's just a matter of chopping or mashing the food to that it is the consistency of Stage 3 foods so that your baby can eat it. My son had all of his teeth in by 9 months, so he could chew small pieces of meat. If your baby doesn't have many teeth yet, just be sure to chop and mash any meat very well so that his/ her gums can easily finish the job before swallowing.
