What is the difference between the baby food stages?
My son is 6 months old now and accidently bought him stage 2 baby food. I've been feeding him it and is doing great with it. Just wondering what is the difference?? Also i've been mixing rice with his fruit, he really enjoys it like that, not sure if it's the texture or what. Does your baby like that too?? Thanks
Meats in the baby food stage 1 ?
My husband and I went to wal mart yesterday to buy our 4 and a half month old some baby foods pediatrician gave us the go ahead at her 4 month check up , anyways, & I noticed there were 2 jars...1 said chicken w chicken broth stage 1, and turkey w turkey broth stage 1. I didnt know they made meats in the stage 1 ? Did they just start doing this ? & have any of you gave your baby the meats in stage 1? I didnt buy any of them, just fruits & veggies...but i mean obviously its okay to give, if its in stage one ? thanks in advance.I wasnt planning on feeding her meats right now, I was just curious. Im only feeding her formula, veggies & fruits along with her rice cereal.
Is it alright to start feeding my 3 months old baby food stage 1?
It just seemed like his formula just wasn't cutting it.. we were giving him 4 ozs for a while.... but when he started waking up and getting hungry every 3 hours... then he decided to try stage 1 peaches...Okay i understand what you all are saying... but what is i am feeding him 4 ozs every 3 hours.. and he is throwing that up... He isn't colicky and the doctor said that there isn't anything medically wrong with him.. but some of you's think that I should keep feeding him when he wants a bottle.. and just let him throw up..??
Gerber baby food stages..?
so my son has gone through all the stage 1 food by gerber and now switched to stage 2.. Since you have to stay with one food for a couple of days to see allergies, why do second and third stages come mixed with so many ingridients that are not sold in separate containers??Same with stage 2 dinners.. since he's never had chicken, or rice, or macaroni they're all mixed with something, not single ingridient cans.. anyone else ever wonder about this?

At what age did you start feeding your baby stage 3 of Gerber baby food? Did they eat the whole jar, or just part of it?
Baby food - stage 1 vs. stage 2?
Our pediatrician said our lil' one can start baby food. I was at the grocery store and noticed that there are stage 1, 2, and 3 foods. The stage 1 jars are smaller in size than the stage 2 and 3 foods. Is there any difference in the texture of the food? Take green peas for example are the stage 2 green peas less blended than the stage 1 peas? I was only wondering because both stages were the same price on sale at the store. Seems like stage 2 is a better bargain since it contains more food for the same price. Of course, I would divide it in half before feeding it to my lil' one. But if it were any different in texture, more solid, etc...then i will stick with stage 1. Just wanted to see if anyone can tell me if the difference is only the size of the jar.... thanks in advance
What baby food (stage 1) can i make myself?
My son is only 4 months so i still have some time, but i would like to know what to feed him when he starts on solids. What did you feed your baby? I want to make most of his food myself... will occasionally buy baby food... but wont be too often. Any tips, recipes or ideas? First time mummy australia
Baby Food Stages?
I have been told that when giving my baby jarred baby foods, or any other kind, I should start by offering her one food at a time for a few days before moving onto another. This is so that if she has an allergic reaction it is easy to pinpoint the food that caused it. My baby is coming upto the stage 2 foods I think she is almost 6 months and has been eating solids ... or mush, since 4 months and I am noticing that they are often sold mixed. Such as bananas and strawberries. My problem is that I was not able to find stage 1 strawberries and am now wondering if i can give her the banana strawberry mix. This is just one example. There are other stage 2 foods such as rice, ham and pineapple of which she has not tried even one. Must I then try her eating rice, ham and pineapple individually before she can have this baby food? And can babies this young even eat pineapple?
Do you feed your 5 month old baby a whole jar of baby food (stage 1) or 1/2 jar?
this is ONLY for people that feed their babies NOT for people who want to talk abou the " only feed 6 month old baby jar food" speech.now that that's out of the way, i can explain further. i only feed my son during dinner. just to get him use to jar food. he mostly drinks bottle and eat rice cereal. i've been feeding him 1 2 jar food for about 1 month, 1x a day. he WAS in the 90 % for weight and my fiance and i got a scolding from our doctor, and NOW he's in the 75 %, since we stopped feeding him so much formula. i dont want to over feed my son.

When do you change stages on baby food? Right now my baby is four months and is eating cereal and stage 1 fruit and veggies. I don't know when to move up a stage.
