6 month old eating baby food stage 2?
my sons pediatrician said he should be eating 3 jars of stage 2 food daily and I am having trouble getting him to eat more than one and a half. at the most he will take 2 jars. The jars are 4 0z. he will only eat half a jar at a time. Should I be concerned? He is wetting frequently and pooping at least once a day, also he nurses often.my sons doctor and I have really butted heads this last appointment, She said I should have been giving him soilds since 4 months and was surprised that he had not had anything other than breast milk and occasional rice cereal uo until 6 months. I really dont agree with what she says and I am finding him a new doctor but since she is a medical professional I feel like If I do not follow her advice than I am a bad mother. Its been giving me a lot of stress.
Meats in the baby food stage 1 ?
My husband and I went to wal mart yesterday to buy our 4 and a half month old some baby foods pediatrician gave us the go ahead at her 4 month check up , anyways, & I noticed there were 2 jars...1 said chicken w chicken broth stage 1, and turkey w turkey broth stage 1. I didnt know they made meats in the stage 1 ? Did they just start doing this ? & have any of you gave your baby the meats in stage 1? I didnt buy any of them, just fruits & veggies...but i mean obviously its okay to give, if its in stage one ? thanks in advance.I wasnt planning on feeding her meats right now, I was just curious. Im only feeding her formula, veggies & fruits along with her rice cereal.
Should a 2 month old baby be eating baby food stage one and or cearal?
i have a friend who has a 2 month old baby boy.. and she says her dr told her she could start cereal and baby food on him.. why on earth would a dr tell her to start feeding her 2 month old on baby food and cereal?K your right she proably did make up the dr part cause i don't know any dr that would say to start your 2 month old on any kind of food..
Gerber baby food stages..?
so my son has gone through all the stage 1 food by gerber and now switched to stage 2.. Since you have to stay with one food for a couple of days to see allergies, why do second and third stages come mixed with so many ingridients that are not sold in separate containers??Same with stage 2 dinners.. since he's never had chicken, or rice, or macaroni they're all mixed with something, not single ingridient cans.. anyone else ever wonder about this?

It just seemed like his formula just wasn't cutting it.. we were giving him 4 ozs for a while.... but when he started waking up and getting hungry every 3 hours... then he decided to try stage 1 peaches...Okay i understand what you all are saying... but what is i am feeding him 4 ozs every 3 hours.. and he is throwing that up... He isn't colicky and the doctor said that there isn't anything medically wrong with him.. but some of you's think that I should keep feeding him when he wants a bottle.. and just let him throw up..??
What is the difference between the baby food stages?
My son is 6 months old now and accidently bought him stage 2 baby food. I've been feeding him it and is doing great with it. Just wondering what is the difference?? Also i've been mixing rice with his fruit, he really enjoys it like that, not sure if it's the texture or what. Does your baby like that too?? Thanks

this is ONLY for people that feed their babies NOT for people who want to talk abou the " only feed 6 month old baby jar food" speech.now that that's out of the way, i can explain further. i only feed my son during dinner. just to get him use to jar food. he mostly drinks bottle and eat rice cereal. i've been feeding him 1 2 jar food for about 1 month, 1x a day. he WAS in the 90 % for weight and my fiance and i got a scolding from our doctor, and NOW he's in the 75 %, since we stopped feeding him so much formula. i dont want to over feed my son.
