At this age she was breastfed on demand, and getting a small amount of solid food once or twice a day in no particular pattern. (Whenever it was convenient to offer and she seemed like she might be interested.)

I breast feed on demand -- I feed him solids once a day or once every other day at night time for dinner.

Have you looked into BLW? Since you have such a long time before Harley's on solids, why not look into it now?'s skipping purees and letting baby feed himself table foods. It's thought to be better for the child to let him explore food and eat on his terms. Just a thought! If you go with purees, there's really no need for a schedule. Fruits, veggies, cereal-It's all the same nutritionally. Baby will eating so little that it's not like it's a benefit to make sure he's getting a fruit at one time, a veggie later, cereal, and meat. If you go with jar food, just give him a jar of whatever whenever you please or when he seems really hungry.

He's 6 months old this week- been on solid foods for three weeks, using sippy cup for two months three meals a day: breakfast @ 8am, lunch @ 1pm, dinner @ 6pm he gets one tablespoon of food per meal, though he usually only eats half of it So far the foods he eats are sweet potatoes, avacado, and peas We make his baby food from fresh vegetables and fruits, we never puree anything, just mash it or dice it. When we go out for the day, we don't want to mess up his solid food schedule so I also make baby cookies (I altered a teething biscuit recipe to make them from watered down apple juice, rice cereal, and flour). Baby cookies make less mess than mashed vegetables and he enjoys feeding himself the cookies so they are easier to give him when out and about. Since he's teething right now, we let him have frozen carrot sticks to chew on anytime he wants- even if its not meal time. The hard cold stuff helps with the pain, and he likes them better than traditional teething toys. still gets most of his nutrition from bottles, we bottle fed on demand between solids (weaned off breastfeeding last month)
