Add sweet pot, bay leaf and stock, bring to boil, reduce heat cover and simmer for 30 minutes until veg and lentils ore tender. Remove bay leaf, puree mash to required texture. Freezes well so worth making a batch.Do you have any good recipe ideas to try?

Anyone know good homemade baby food recipes?

What is it about baby food recipe sites - esp. wholesomebabyfood.com?
My SIL asked me about a good baby food recipe site and I mentioned wholesomebabyfood.com. She said that she read on the answers here that someone keeps saying it us full of wives' tales and weird stuff that's not true or based on evidence. My pediatrician pointed me to it so I'm wondering about the wives' tales etc. One of the things I really liked is it points to medical sources and also has a great page on why to not start solids early. SIL will be watching this for replies I'd hate to steer her wrong Also, what do people think of homemade baby food recipes.com? I like that one too Maybe SIL would like that one?Ooh Elizabeth, thanks for mentioning the cookbook. I forgot to ask about cookbooks I have a few that I use too. SIL is sometimes more of a " book" person whereas I can read the web or read the book, it doesn't matter to me.Stuck Up like the article a lot Very good to show SIL too. I think the charts are good and also like the baby food site says cereal is not necessary and to try avocado or something else. It's funny both site and article mention spices and we are a spicy family My little ones sure had their fill through the BM

Any good and healthy baby food recipes?
We were thinking about trying homemade baby food when our baby is about 5 months old. Has anyone ever tried this? Does anyone have any good recipes for baby food that would be healthy for this age? I heard something about making them in ice cube treys, then keeping them in baggies, if you do this, how do you thaw it before feeding baby?
Does anyone have any good baby food recipes?
I already have the Annabel Karmel book and I do use wholesomebabyfood.com too. I like to have a good selection in the freezer so if anyone has any good ones, let me know P.S. Is Mummy Berry around with her cheesy leek and potato bake thingy? And the mediterranean veg one too?
Baby food recipes, any idea?
my son is 6.5 months 28wks and has been on solids since he was 14wks old, he has been fine on them and i done all my research before starting him on them early, i'd spoken to my doctor about it too who also suggested trying him, he was fine so i carried on this is for anyone who wants to lecture me on starting early so i've been giving him organic baby food jars which contain natural ingredients to preserve the food he never really took to the proper food ones like bolognese, pastas, chicken dinners, cottage pies etc, he only liked the puddings and fruits which i didn't blame him as the foods tasted horrible, now he's on 2 3 jars of food a day and he still doesn't enjoy the foods so i'm thinking about feeding him proper food like making my own stuff so it tastes better and he might enjoy it better. What kind of foods can i make for him? I'm worried about salt and sugar levels in foods i eat, even although i eat healthily, some things do have alot of sugar salt bad things for babies to digest basically. He is also on finger foods so anything i could give him in his hand would be great too i know fruit and veg sticks, i've tried rusks and he loves them, i just want more variety for him Brittney he's got 5 teeth.
Vegan baby foods? RECIPES!!!?
I asked a similar question about what vegan mums give their babies and all the answers i got were along the lines of " don't force your baby to be vegan" and " babies shouldn't be vegan" I was raised vegan until I was 7 when my mum died and my dad made the choice for us to become vegetarians and when i was a teen i decided to become a vegan again, Partly because I am buddhist and It is a way of life for me, I'm not going to abandon my beliefs so my child can " be like all the other kids" he can be perfectly healthy and well nourished on a vegan diet and I plan to breastfeed exclusively until he is 6 months old and then as well as a nutritious diet until he is at least 24 months old. and If the vegan diet doesn't work out for him then I'll consider vegetarianism for him.Now to my question, does anyone know any good VEGAN baby foods to start off with like 10 ? thanks
Good Baby food recipes?
Hi I want to cook my baby her food and not give her jar food. She is 5 monthsDo you know any good recipes?
Baby food recipes. 9 months old and needs variety,?
My son is 9 months old and loves his table food. I am looking for recipes of food that is safe for my son to eat, as well as my partner and I. I want to add some variety into his diet, other than conventional baby food jars. I am sick of paying obscene amounts on crap. Now that he is eating table food, I want to try and give him mostly what we are eating. Now, he has had homemade shepherds pie before, and loved this. He has also had Spaghetti Bog, and chicken stir fry. Do you have any recipes I could use to feed the entire family, that is cheap, and you can get most ingredients from the local supermarket. He cannot have strawberries as he is allergic. He has teeth and loves to chew his food. It doesn't need to be pureed, but if it is too chunky, it may have to be mashed.Thank you.
