You need to buy a baby cookbook.the ones I recommend are: Top 100 baby purees Baby & toddler meal planner Both by annabel karmel. Bear in mind as well that for out & about a few jars or packets of babyfood are probably best - it won't harm your baby. Tips: - buy a blender.this way you can make up large batches & freeze. - a hand blender is good for making small amounts of food up,such as a sauce or mashing a banana. - buy a food grinder.foods like potato go funny in a blender because of their high starch levels - some people put the date the food was made on,but I found it easier to put the date the food had to be used - saved me working out the date when I took the food out! - go at your babys pace.it can typically take half an hour to an hour to feed a baby,so don't rush it! - don't worry if your baby spits a food out.at first, they tend to because they don't know how to use move the food to the back of their mouths, they move it forward.after this,it tends to be a sign they've had enough.if your baby doesn't like it just take it away & try your baby with it another day. - you can never have enough bibs.when you let your baby start to feed themselves, the bibs with sleeves are a godsend! Equipment needed: - blender/ food processor - hand blender - food grinder - ice cube trays - bowls & spoons.buy soft weaning spoons, these protect your baby gums. |
