NEVER. Have you tasted it? I wouldn't feed that crap to a dog, let alone a child.

As long as there are no known or suspected food allergies, your babe can begin eating solid foods at age 6 months. use a potato masher or blender to reduce texture & serve the exact same healthy meals that you feed the rest of the family. protein comes in many forms: nuts, soy, animal products, eggs, etc.

You'd be surprised what their little gums can mash up. it is recommended to breastfeed/ formula till they are at least 4 months old..then it is a preference to start the introduction of oatmeal or rice cereals..Though you can also wait till 6 months being the 'wait' option. :) I started my child on Gerbers Oatmeal cerial at the end of 3 months old..though I didn't make it that water crap NEVER PUT IT IN A BOTTLE!! I made it thick enough it stayed on the spoon and he took to it easily..by end of 4 months I introduced Cherios as a solid snack he can pick up and eat on his own...now hes 9 months and eating solids like you or I would eat...and he doesnt even have teeth yet... I also made my own food...(instead of premade foods) Its fun and easy and LOADS more healthy without the chemicals they use to keep the food 'fresh' in those bottles for longer time periods..plus it taistes WAY better..you can tell by the color differences as well..food made at home have more viberant colors and have more vitamines and needed nutrition Hope this helped

Its stage 2, so thats about 6-8 months. ETA: There are no chemicals added to baby foods. Baby foods are canned. People have been canning forever. There are no preservatives added. I made food for my daughter, but not for my son.

6 months- actually there is an argument for giving babies meat as a first food. There is no reason to delay introducing any food (within reason) at all past 6 months (other than honey which in very rare cases has been associated with infant botulism).

Around the time they develope the ability to mash food like a pro with their jaw, or actually chew it. My son could around 6/ 7 monthes.Practicing with chopped veggies and fruits that are textured but not completely solid helps with this development
