At what age, did you introduce baby food meats to your child?
I have just started my 5 month old son on stage one foods, and I really don't see any advantage in introducing meats in the first 12 months. I am just curious to know at what age did you introduce your child to baby food " meats" ?
Baby hates eating baby food meat?
ok so he eats most things fine and there usually isn't any mess and if there is its very small, until he eats meat, then he spits, puts his hands in his mouth, moves his head and yells, however he likes the meat that we eat mince in pasta sauce, etc but he has a hard time eating it as he doesn't have teeth so he cant really chew.we give him a mix of store bought and homemade, but so far have the ones with have been store boughtso should I just give him fruit and vegies?
Why is 6 months too young for baby food meats?
My doctor gave me a handout at my baby's last checkup that said not to give her baby food meats yet but, it's too late, she's already eating them every day. I gave them to my son at this age too and don't remember being told not to. And I hear mothers telling stories of starting their children on meats and eggs as young as 2 months So anyway I never got an explanation why is it baby food meats is not recommended at this age?
When are you supposed to start you baby on baby food meat?

Making your own baby food - Meat?
For those of you who make your own baby food can you tell me how you make the meat? I understand you can cook chicken or beef, put it in the blender and can stock to thin it out puree it good and freeze it.My questions are How do you cook the meat? boil it or bake it? and doesn't baking it give it a dry outer skin I wouldn't think that would be good for purees? , What type of stock do you use? what is the recipe for it? can you use boiled water or formula?thanksI've never heard of not giving animal protein especially before age 3? everything I've read states that babies do not have digestive enzymes for grains until after 1 year but...they do produce the enzymes that break down protein I'll have to look into that one. Iron is really important for babies and meat is a good source.....I was planning on introducing meat when my baby is about 7 months old. I'm giving this homemade thing a shot doesn't sound too hard
Gerber baby food MEAT?
I just started meats with my baby and when I opened a jar of stage 2 beef and it looks grey on the top and the lid on the inside looks grey and a little black, I opened another jar and it was also grey on top, is that normal? I didn't give to to my baby girl because it looked odd. Is that normal has anyone else seem this?
How did your baby react the first time he/she ate baby food - meat?
I gave my son chicken rice at dinner time 2 nights ago and then a bottle at bedtime 1 hour later. He was up most of the night screaming crying. It seemed like his belly hurt or he had gas really bad. We tried again yesterday at lunch time instead and he did the same thing in the afternoon during his nap.Is this an allergic reaction, or just normal because his body has never had this type of food before? What did your baby do? Should we keep giving it to him and just see if it gets better?
