Toddler and baby food ideas?
I have a 2 yr old daughter and a 6 month old son and need some new recipe ideas that both can eat My eldest eats anything but my youngest is on jars and babyrice at the mo but only at dinner time and I want to start putting him onto our food blended of course but i am finding it really hard to come up with new ideas and were all getting bored of the ones we have now. Would be very grateful if anyone could give me some healthy options and how to make and ingredients for food that is suitable for both to eat.Thanks By the way were not vegetarians so we do eat meat.

I am trying to come up with new ideas for my 10 month old's homemade baby food. What is your baby's favorites? My guy likes banana avacado tofu, carrot pumpkin, pasta cheese, rice lentils vegs, hamburg broccoli apple juice just to name a few. Looking for some more healthy ideas. I was shopping for baby food the other day. Somewhat pricey for the size of the jars.Then I was going down another aisle and found some applesauce. I picked up a big jar for $1.00. I would get about 1 10th of that amount for the same price with the little jars.I'm looking for some good ideas to make baby food. There's got to be a more nutritious and cheaper way than to head for the baby food aisle.

My wife and I have fallen on some hard times recently. We can't afford jarred baby food for our 6 month old, so we've been giving her a lot of ramen noodles, chicken nuggets and whatever else we have coupons for. Problem is I don't want her to get bored with these foods, as she'll probably be eating them for several years to come. Any ideas on how to cheaply jazz them up?

HI all. Looking for ideas for baby food. I have 4 kids but only made my own food for number 3, now that number 4 is just about ready to start solids I want to start making and freezing. Just looking for suggestions on things to make, turns out there are so many more options then what the stores offer Also, what have you heard as a timeline for frozen baby food? I did some research and got everything from using it within a 3 week time and being able to deep freeze for up to a year....confusing
Baby food idea for hot weather, is that a good idea, or not?
I try to make as much as I can for my 8 month old but a lot of it means hot food and we are in the midst of a heatwave at the moment I was wondering today if I could " re invent" the tzaziki dip and blend some cucumber in natural greek yogurt, maybe chuck some chives in there. That's be cooling.What's your take on this?

Baby food ideas for baby who eats real food? (13 months old)?
So I got a new baby....well, I get to borrow her on the weekdays while her parents are at work. I have boys, who were always not very baby ish They went from baby food and formula to steak and potatoes pretty much I don't remember really all the baby type stuff they ate at age one. This little girl is totally a baby, I know she likes grilled cheeses, and dry cheerios. She has just a few teeth. I'll have her 5 days a week and of course have to feed her a few times a day....what else can I feed her? So far I have thought of mashed potatoesyogurtdry cerealgrilled cheeses cut into tiny baby bites eggsgrilled chicken cut up tiny and ricethose stinky baby " cheese or fruit puffs" by Gerber....and that's about it What else do you feed babies that just started solid food? Help I DID ask her parents and they said that she eats anything that's safe...as in anything but hot dogs, raisins, marshmallows, the baby food choking hazards.Just needed a few ideas. Thank you to those of you that are helpful and actually answered the question instead of saying " ask her parents" . This reminds me why I never visit this section...geeze.
5 month old gags on certain types of baby food... Ideas?
My 5 month old has been eating baby food peas for about a week... I tried him on apple sauce, he gagged so much he threw up, I tried him on carrots tonight and same thing, gagged until he threw up, and sweet potatoes he gagged alot but I stopped him before he threw them up lol... Why is this? Are them kinds to tarty for him right now? What should I give him besides peas then? And when do you think he'd start to be able to handle the other kinds?
