No need for a grinder. Get your money back. Steam some fresh veggies, slice some fruit, and hand it over.

I just use a blender. but you can boil some chicken and also rice without salt and then blend them together. and freeze them in your old baby jars or in an ice cube tray. steam veggies, boil others. you can google free baby food recipes. there are tons!

After he's passed the pureed fruits and veggies stage you can move on to more elaborate foods. He can start finger foods now. You can most definitely blend chicken and pastas together. Basically anything you and your family are having for dinner... he can have too. It doesn't even have to be completely blended, it can be cut into tiny pieces or mashed until there or only a few lumps left. wholesomebabyfoods.com is an awesome website.

1) Take the 'grinder' back to the store and get your money back. 2) Read this : ecochildsplay.com/ 2009/ 03/ 13/ baby-essentials-that-arent-part-7-baby-food/ 3) Offer your brother any of the healthy 'finger foods' that you eat. He can eat almost anything at 6 months. At 7 months he will have the chewing ability, be able to hold his head up so he is ready for finger foods. It's called Baby Led Weaning - google it for more information. 4) Have fun! :-)
