Is regular kids applesauce\fruit sauce any good to feed as a replacement for baby food fruits?
Ok, I normally dont give commercial foods to my daughter, but lately I am running out of ideals and things to give her for snack times to keep her intrested in eating. Shes 1, and shes highly active and her metabolism is fantastic. Shes very tall, and a little underweight, she teeters on being under weight all the time. Shes in the 20th percentile for kids her weight and age. She's not hyper just active. Would fruit cups from Del Mont or something simular be a good snack? or too much sugar? I already give her yogurt, milk, cheese, and other healthy snacks but sometimes she just isnt intrested in snacking. The doctor is telling me to keep her eating through out the day. I was hoping that fruit cups might be enticing or am I wasting my money?she gets 3 balanced meals a day, and vegetables are some of her favorites, but they have little fat in them so snacks I was saving for the fatty foods.

Feeding baby foods fruit and veggies and cereal?
My pediatrician told me we could start my son on baby cereal at 4 months old so we bought a few boxes of cereal. When I got home I was looking at the box and noticed it said stage 2 and 6 months and up. So I started looking online and it says for beechnut brand they call their fruits and vegetables are stage 1 for 4 months. So i'm just wondering which you started your baby with or what you were told by your pediatrician. I am currently a little unsatisfied with our pediatrician because of somethings shes said and done that I do not agree with so we are concidering changing and I'm just wondering if what she told me was incorrect or if it was normal or whatever. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance At what age did you start the baby foods?
Baby food....fruits?
I have fed my 61 2 month old son all the beginner veggies, so now I am going to start the fruits. The other day I bought bananas and when I got home I realized that it says they contain lemon juice....I think I read somewhere that you're not supposed to give citric to children under 1....is this right??? Is it safe to give him the bananas...oh by the way the brand is Heinz...thanks
