Ages for baby food/cereal/solids ?
Just wondering... around how many months did you start giving your baby cereal, baby food & solids ? Did they take to it well at first ? How many meals did you substitue these with ?Thanks
My parents just bought my baby a whole crap load of baby food, cereal and juice. She is not even 4 months yet?
I'm at work right now, and my mom just called to let me know that she dropped the baby food off at my house. So my question is, is it ok to store that kind of stuff for a couple more months? Tresa will be 4 months old on April 5th. so the food and such will sit for at least a month and a half or so. My mom says there is no difference between it sitting on my shelf, or the store's shelf. What do you guys think? Obviously none of it is opened. I'm not at home right now otherwise I would look for expiration dates. Does baby food have expiration dates? I mean being that most of it is jarred or whatever.Brianas mommy lol, yeah I have some relatives tht do that very same thing. buy a whole bunch of stuff and then tell you how much they spent on it. My mom won't tell me how much it was though. I asked her, and she said it was none of my business.lol Sereni... First off let me just say I didn't mean to seem ungrateful, but this is my first child, my mom is in her 60's and has many opinions on how I raise my daughter. Most of them are " old school" and based on a number of books I have read and classes I have taken, things have changed dramatically since she had an infant. So I just take precaution when she does things for my baby. If that makes me a bad person, then so be it. Secondly, I am pushing 30 years old sweetheart, I don't need you to remind me to THANK anyone, least of all my parents. As " old school" as their ways are, I am still grateful for everything they do or try to do for me and my baby. So, THANK YOU for your words of wisdom, but you can keep them to yourself next time. And by the way, none of the thumbs down are from me just so you ladies know. thanks very much for your input.
Baby food, cereal and formula at 5 months old?
Ok I just started my little one on cereal 2 weeks ago. Dr. said I can start her on Orange vegetables first, then green and so on. she eats about five 6 oz bottles a day plus 2 servings a day of cereal and an ounce or 2 of water to drink. My question is now that she will be starting vegetables and other foods does she get 2 servings of cereal and 2 jars of food with five six ounce bottles? Or do I mix it up like maybe cereal in the morning then a bottle an hour or two later then a jar of food and couple bottles then mabe put cereal and jar of food together sometimes. Im just curious cuz this is all new to me. Thanks hope this is clear enough for everyone.
Baby food cereal bars recipe? Or other things to do with leftover pureed baby foods; both fruits & veggies?
Does anyone have a simple recipe for some soft, chewy fruit filled cereal bars? Kind of like the Kellogg's Nutri Grain Cereal bars??? I have a TON of excess baby foods pureed fruits & veggies that my munchkin will no longer eat, only because she is onto finger foods and prefers feeding herself now.Or if anyone has any other recipes or ideas to use up all this excess baby food, please let me know I also have a 3 year old, so any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Need some advice on baby food/cereal please?
I have a 9 month old little girl. She still eats the rice cereal from the box for breakfast in the morning, I add some fruit puree yet a little chunky, not too bad to it. She eats the puffs, and is comfortable eating chunky type foods, so I want to know what I should give her in place of the rice cereal? What all do you did you feed your little ones in the morning? Also, is any yogurt ok to give a little one? I want to try her on some yogurt, but I really can't justify spending a lot on the baby yogurt if I'm able to give her " regular" yogurt, such as Dannon vanilla or something. Any suggestions welcomed
