WHY did no one warn me how bad baby food carrots stain?? Can I call the company and demand they replace her w
There should be a warning on the package Incidentally, the dress was small and the bib was HUGE I never thought she could manage to get food under it And, none of the other stuff she has eaten so far peaches, pears, squash has stained. Unfortunately carrots are her favorite. And I checked the package it says no artificial colors....although I've never seen a carrot that color.

Making baby food- carrots and sweet potatoes- what's the best way to cook? Steam?
Can I steam sweet potatoes? Just want to make sure I do this the right way. This is my first time tonight. Do I just cut them carrots and sweet potatoes up and steam? Can I steam them together or should I do it seperately to avoid them crossing flavors? What are some other good ideas for steaming and making into baby foods? Do you steam fruits first apples or just puree? Thanks so much I know my son doesn't have allergies. He is 9 months old, but I am just now trying to do my own foods. A little slow, I know, but I want to learn.
Making baby food......carrots not allowed?
I read online, and was also told by my pediatrician, to hold off on carrots because of the nitrates in them and spinach as well . Is this just in homemade baby food, or does it apply to processed, store bought baby food as well. Also, what exactly is a nitrate? I thought they were preservatives or something my mom was always nagging me to avoid deli meats and hotdogs while pregnant because of the nitrates , but I didn't realize they could be naturally occurring in food.Lastly I realize this is 3 questions in one , when is it safe to give my guy carrots....should I wait until he's a toddler...should I give them at all? Thanks for any and all answers
Baby food - carrot goes in and not digested?
i let my 5.5 mths baby girl had a small tiny piece of soften carrot boiled in soup. 2 tiny lil piece bite. the nx day when she poops, the carrot came out exactly like how it went in. does this means she cannot digest it? i am actually planning to start her on veggies fruits, and by looking at this, i am afraid she's not ready for veggies yet. how and what should i do?
Baby food carrots made at home?
I heard you shouldn't prepare carrots and some other foods at home because of high nitrite levels in soil. Then, I read Pediatrics, the journal for the American Academy of Pediatrics, and it says that for babies under 4 months. My twins are 6 months, is it safe?

Baby food...carrots?
It's happened twice that when my baby has eaten carrots that he spit up. Other times he hasn't. He has never spit up when I have fed him any other foods. What could it be about the carrots that doesn't set well? To me they are just carrots and I have never heard of problems with eating them.
