Cakes, by definition, are sweet. A cake recipe that doesn't contain sugar usually contains artificial sweetners, which are not recommended for infants. (A few recipes contain honey or molasses or the like ... but that's still sugar.) Does your baby have some unique health needs (i.e. diabetes) that make it necessary to avoid ALL sugar? This site contains some recipes that seem to meet your needs -- I can't speak for how any of them tastes. (And remember that sugar in applesauce or carrots is STILL sugar -- it's just fructose rather than sucrose -- your body metabolizes it the same way, and even a baby with diabetes would need to limit his intake.)
