I give my baby finger foods but..?
she seems to choke on everything. Does this mean she is not ready for them? I mean she picks it up and chews on whatever by herself. She has even gotten choked on those Gerber cereal puffs. Oh and by choked I don't mean her coughing, I mean no sound eyes and nose turning red, can't breathe choke. I have given her all baby things like the cereal puffs, there are little rice cake things, and Gerber biter cookies. Everything she is getting choked on.Should I stop giving her these things or just keep letting her practice and just watch her?Oh and at 6 months her doctor told me to give her those cereal puffs. She currently eats a jar of fruits with cereal, a jar of veggies, and a half of jar of meats, along with her formula. She eats stage 2 foods.Oh sorry she is now 8 months. She is interested in foods its just like is trying to swallow before it is good and soft.I know she is only eating one at a time. I have watched her or I am the one to put it in her mouth to show her what to do with them.

When did you start giving your baby finger foods?
And what foods did you give?I was reading about my daughter's development on BabyCenter.com and she is showing some signs that she might be ready for finger foods. The thing is she's only seven months old and that seems a little young to me. Can you tell me about what you did?
Nervous about giving 8 month old baby finger foods?
I am just scared he is going to choke, but I know that he needs to learn and he shows a lot of interest in our food. Right now he eats stage 2 jar food mostly, but if there is something soft on our plates like mashed potatoes or avacado, we give him that. I have given him the small banana puffs, he was eating those and one time he choked and gagged a little and I haven't given him one since because it really scared me I know that he needs to learn.Anyone else feel this way? Any suggestions?

Baby finger food suggestions?
My nearly 8 month old has somewhat mastered feeding herself pieces of bread. I want to give her something new in terms of finger food. What would you recommend as a next finger food? Her first teeth are not quite poking out yet so it needs to be something that can be gummed and soften quickly with her drool.
