When did you start your baby on stage 1 jar foods and baby cereal?
My son is just 3 months. I'm not looking to start him on anything right away just wondering. The pediatrician said 4 months for cereal so I just picked up a few boxes of cereal the other day and noticed it's considered stage 2 and jarred fruits and some veggies were considered stage 1. So i'm just wondering what did you start your baby with and how old were they?I've seen two different pediatricians because I recently changed them because I did not like the first one and both told me cereal can be introduced at 4 months. I said already I was not giving either to my child right away and I am not being conned by marketing I happened to noticed what something said so I asked a question about i. So how about fully reading my question before jumping to conclusions and assuming I am feeding my baby any kind of food cereal before he is ready.
How do I feed my baby cereal?
She'll be four months old next week, so we started her on rice cereal two nights ago. After her last bottle before bed, we mix one tablespoon of cereal with five tablespoons of formula, and feed her with a spoon. Both nights, she's eaten the entire bowl of cereal after her six ounce bottle. She doesn't see to have a tummy ache afterwards and doesn't spit up at all. Is it normal for her to eat that much at once? She'll be 4 months old on 9 11 in 5 days , and her pediatrician said she could start on cereal at 4 months and baby food at 6. I've tried giving her seven ounce bottles and she won't eat any more than six ounces. I'm following the directions on the box, so that's why the cereal is so watery. I assume we'll need to work up to giving her cereal that is more solid as she is still learning to eat from the spoon. She also has control over her head, sits up assisted, and is interested in what we're eating.
How often should i feed my baby cereal/food? first time using it!!?
OK, im a first time mom my son is 4 months old...he has all the signs of being ready for food..he can sit up pretty good especially while supported...but often on his own for a little bit...he hasn't really doubled his weight, but is only like 1 1 2 2 lbs from doubling his weight..sometimes he does seem hungry after 2 hours..but its mostly still every 3 hours..i was thinking about starting him on some oatmeal cereal first...is that a good idea with the oatmeal cereal? whats the difference in the rice and oatmeal..and how often a day should i feed it to him? and for how long before i start on regular baby food? it would be great if i could have some kind of schedule of how when to feed him the cereal and breast milk too..im not sure how to change it up or whatever..need help..lol this seems soo overwhelming to me lol.. first off..why in the world is me smelling his diaper when he cries and there is no poop in it? how is that relevant to the question exactly? not sure where you were going with that lol..well he can already bring things to his mouth..and all day today he has ate every 2 hours and still seems hungry and irritable...and hes been doing it every once in a while..but anyway..the only thing that isn't in the guidelines to start cereal or foods is that he hasn't yet doubled his birth weight.. but thats also me weighing him on home scales too..not sure the accuracy but anyway..i know they are different grain and i know how much to mix says it on the box i just didn't know which one to start him on, like with the different grains? some people prefer rice, some oatmeal...just not sure why it matters is what i mean..i guess...he bites on the spoon, can sit up in his chair, etc...oh and btw he sleeps well at night so im not trying to feed it to him for him to sleep longer..he doesGEEZE ok everyone.i just dont know what to do.he seems hungier all the time guess ill talk to a doctor about it too..thanks tho
Can i give my 1 month old baby cereal?
all my friends keep telling me you cant treat black and white kids the same and If I want my daughter to sleep longer i need to give her a little cereal in her milk I told them i thought you was suppose to wait until about 4 months but they keep telling me they gave there babies cereal starting at 2 months because black newborn babies like to eat and how they sleep through the night. Im not racist but every black mother I come across she is telling me to put very little cereal in her bottle and she will sleep through the night but my white friends don't recommend it im very sorry if i offend anyone but im just a first time mother trying to figure out what to do????

Question about baby cereal?
I was just mixing up my 5.5 month old his breaky rice cereal and when reading the packet, i noticed it said it could be mixed with fruit puree for flavour. I have been giving him prune juice lately as he was a bit blocked up and it worked a treat. So my question is, can i mix a little of the juice in with his cereal? It will give it flavour and he gets his juice at the same time. I only give give 1tbs of the juice every few days, just when i notice he is straining and only pooing a tiny hard lump. Clear indication he is blocked up. He also started on veg 3 days ago, sweet potato mash, and he loved it. What can we try next for him?
When did you give your baby cereal/food?
My pediatrician said nothing until 6 months and at that point she recommended oatmeal instead of rice cereal because it has more nutrition. When did you start giving your baby cereal? We only have three weeks to go until she's 6 months old, but I can tell she is HUNGRY and I want to give her cereal so bad I'm fighting it due to listening to my pediatrician, but I'm just curious.
Baby cereal to baby's bottle?
My sister keeps telling me to add cereal to my 2 month old baby's bottle just because he is constantly hungry i don't mind giving him all the formula he wants but she says he might even be a lot more comfortable and probably even sleep better, like i said i don't mind feeding him all the formula he wants as long as he's happy, and i still wake up every 2 to 3 hrs to make sure he's ok so i'm not going to do it for that reason because i'll still be up, what do you'll think about this? i'm still going to ask my baby's dr because i think he's to little for that anyways i'm a first time mom and wanted to see other point of views, so whats your experiences with baby cereal added to formula?
